“Outstanding quality fish which is as fresh as it gets and impeccably filleted. Delivery is DPD next day and the generous packaging (2 cold packs) means it will be fine left in a shaded location until the end of the day if not home. Basic Brixham fish box always throws up a few surprises and usually contains overlooked species. Smoked fish is not too heavily smoked. Salmon is expensive but is seriously good. Flat fish are sometimes a bit small and wish they'd been left in the sea for a while longer but not one in Hamiltons control. Happily provided bones to make stock once but it was a lot of effort and the house smelt terrible afterwards so has not been repeated!”

“I place an order roughly every 3 months and have never been disappointed with the quality, quantity and packing of the fish. Our favourites are the hake and loch duart salmon. The monkfish tails when breaded make excellent superior fish fingers.”

“I have now been using Hamilton's for several years and have almost always been delighted with the product and service received. On the VERY rare occasion that something isn't quite right, or I have a product enquiry, this is handled in a very timely and professional manner (often out of hours) by Ben - one of the proprietors. I do have one suggestion though. Now that Hamilton's appear to have achieved a position of strength in the market, they are best placed to try and wean the consumer on to some less favoured and lesser known fish e.g. Dabs, Megrim, Pollock, butterflied Sardines etc etc.”
