About Getting A Medical:

Getting A Medical is a national medical service provider that specialises in driver medicals. Our aim is to offer low cost medicals across all ranges of commercial and non-commercial drivers such as Heavy/Large Goods Vehicles (HGV, LGV), Passenger Carrying Vehicles (PCV), Taxi, Ambulance and the Motor Sport Association (MSA). We have a large spread of locations based around England and Wales and all our locations have facilities for a HGV, LGV, PCV, minibus or trailer driver to attend for their Group 2 medical.

Hi Gary, Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it. We do apologise if this caused you any pain and discomfort. On some occasions, it can be normal to experience some pain whilst having blood samples taken and some bruising afterwards.

Hello Peter, I am happy to hear that you were pleased with the service you received. In regards to your results, we carry out medicals on behalf of the DVLA and send off samples as soon as the clinic's over. We would advise that you contact them regarding any results/updates.

“booked my HGV medical with Get a medical then at a days notice got by e mail it got cancelled , got a phone call to say that a new appointement will be arranged in next couple of days still haven't heared nothing and want the medical asap, very disappointed with the service so far and might have to travel further now to get a medical with some one else unless a date is sorted soon, but getting dates now is a problem because so many days are already booked, went with get a medical because tje time and venue suited me great only to be disappointed in the end and then left in the deep end to try and sort a medical before my previous comes to an end”

Unfortunately, during this climate with Covid on the rare occasion, some clinics may need to be cancelled with short notice to protect our Doctors and customers. “The only negatives were nowhere to park and a 45 minute wait. I don’t think 15 minutes is long enough for the appointment so the doctor was well behind by 4 o’clock in the afternoon, otherwise I would have given 5 stars.”
