“A single bottle arrived next day (very good) in a cardboard wine box within another with 12 divisions. This was the most ridiculous and wasteful packaging ever received. Otherwise, service was good”

Dear Customer, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are sorry to read you were unhappy with the extra packaging used for your ordered item. Your order shows a high-value bottle was purchased. More packaging usually has a higher cost and it is preferable in many ways to keep packaging to a minimum. However, this has to be balanced with ensuring items are packed well, so the items arrive at the delivery point in great condition. Our warehouse team are advised of the costs and requirements to ensure all items are packed well. Where possible, recyclable packaging is used. The box in which your order was packed is made from recyclable cardboard. In addition, in the manufacture of our cardboard boxes, a significant percentage of the board used in its manufacture comes from recycled board sources. At Drinks Direct efforts have always been made to ensure items are packed as well as necessary, to ensure they reach the delivery point safely. We hope this helps to explain the packaging used. Efforts will continue to be made to explore packaging options and help ensure orders are being packed by the warehouse team in the best possible way.
