“Sizing is very much on the small side. I ordered 3 jumpers all of which turned out to be too short in the arms. Returns are not straight forward if you live outside Ireland and are at your own cost, so I would advise checking measurements carefully to make sure you get the correct size. I should have emailed to query the arm length before placing an order.”

“The sweater did not fit though it should have according to measurement guide. I emailed Aran to return it and the instructions to return were not valid at FedEX, the carrier who shipped the sweater. FedEX said I would need a shipping label from Aran to return it, which Aran did not provide. They provided a "commercial invoice" which FedEx didn't recognize.To return, it would cost about $300 at FedEX. I seem to remember the site saying it would be $20 to return. I feel I've been scammed. I haven't heard back from Aran.”

Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know about your experience with returning your item. We apologize for the inconvenience that you have faced while returning the sweater. This is not the experience we want for our customers.
We do not provide shipping labels as the shipping label will be provided by your chosen courier for your return. FedEx is our courier partner for our shipping which means if you choose to return your item with them, they already have all the details and that is why we only have to provide the commercial invoice for customs. Our website states that the customer is responsible for the return cost of their order. The cost of the return will vary due to location, courier, weight etc. This is not something we have control over at this time.
In our reply to your email, we did explain this and this is all we provide to our customers that wish to return their item.
We are sorry that you encountered some issues in returning your item to us and we are happy to continue assisting you in any way we can to get these issues resolved.

Not easy with international. $30.00 charge to return. Still no credit on account. Unless you know your size, do not order”

“The traditional cream Aran has never really suited me , so I was delighted to have such a choice of colours. I ordered a flecked oat sweater in worsted wool. I sized down for a slimmer fit. The sweater was packaged with care, feels lovely and fits beautifully . It was also very reasonably priced, compared to a recently purchased oversized fishermanâs woollen jumper. Plan to wear it on cooler days through spring on evening walks. Would like a cardigan for autumn, but at 5â 2â feel they are all too long. Please do a shorter length boyfriend cardigan and/or Sheeffry shawl neck cardigan for the vertically challenged like me! Thank you!”

“I thought the sweater was a little small for an XL, nonetheless, it's my new favorite. I've worn it every day since it arrived. It's light enough to wear indoors but plenty warm under a jacket outside. Merino wool makes it a very comfortable turtleneck.”
