“Over the past 12 months I’ve made a return to model car racing after some 15 years. My equipment back then was largely what I had been running off and on for a decade or so previously. This meant that to go racing again, I not only had to buy a car with spares and consumables, but also all the support equipment - less hand tools which (if you buy good quality items in the first place) will still be serviceable. Having looked around online at both published prices and range of items needed, Wheelspin models ended up supplying the bulk of what I wanted (car, radio gear, servo, speed controller/ motor, batteries, charger), plus spares for the above. This was a notably worry-free process, with easy ordering and payment, good comms, and transparent delivery tracking, making the whole experience akin to Christmas for grown ups. My most recent purchase was an additional receiver for the radio gear I purchased last year, allowing me to run a second car without having to swap the radio gear over. This experience was as before, with the addition of a feedback request. So, keep up the good work. Try to avoid making “improvements” that detract from the customer experience - even if they make your job easier. Hope this helps.”

“Wanted a small reasonably priced but quality rc car for my little boy. But also wanted spares to be easy to get for when he inevitably breaks it. I chose the Arrma Granite Grom. Fantastic little rc car. My boy loves it. Been a customer of wheelspin models for years now so I knew I could trust them to deliver a quality and fast service.”

“Fantastic service and as I’m newish to the hobby, I’ve called them about 20 times and been in twice and they have been amazing every time; helping me to try and understand how everything works and what I need, even changing the radio gear on my Maxx. Overall just brilliant service and I would recommend them to anyone who is thinking of buying anything RC as there is nothing they don’t know about this hobby! “Website and parts inventory very good, unfortunately let down by slow delivery. I placed an order on Sunday, it's now Thursday (pm) and still awaiting delivery. I remembered I needed an additional part on Monday, ordered from another supplier on Monday morning, and received it Wednesday afternoon. (Paid the same for delivery).”

Hi Neil, Thanks for the feedback. As I hope you know, we do carry a huge amount of stock but are still working on building up our stock on race spares. Looks like you ordered a couple of shadow stock items which delayed dispatch by 1 day (it shipped Tuesday instead of Monday as we'd expect with an order placed Sunday afternoon). Royal Mail then took 3 days instead of their usually "1 or 2", which hampered things a little further. I'm pleased to see it turned up Friday according to the tracking. Hopefully next time we'll see better service from Royal Mail (or you can always choose express delivery - in which case you'd have received next day). I can see you've ordered several times now and it looks like usually Royal Mail deliver a standard package to you within 48 hours, let's hope they get back to that standard for you :-) Happy RCing!
