“Such a wonderful trip and help all along the way was amazing”

“We just got back from a 2 week trip to Japan. From our arrival to our departure, everything was fantastic! When we travel within the states, we do our own research and planning. However, we knew nothing about Japan (our daughter pushed for this trip). We decided to go “old school” with a travel agent. We found Wayfairer through Zicasso. We originally worked with Maggie but when she left the company, we wrapped everything up with Peach. Both were great to work with and very responsive to emails. The itinerary was great and having guides for most of our excursions made everything so much more enriching. Especially when it came time for lunch. They know the best places! We were a little worried about being there over the holidays but we had no issues with the exception of the crowds around Hakone for the Ekiden relay race. Our guide created a slightly modified plan for our day trip in Hakone National Park to avoid road closures so we didn’t miss a thing. It was also a little stressful making sure we could make it back to Tokyo for our return flight with road closures and taxi/bus availability but everything worked out perfectly with Japan’s wonderful train system. If they could figure out a way to instantly cure jet lag, they’d get a sixth star.”

“Fabulous holiday. All the hotels and pick ups were great. Everything ran very smoothly. No mosquito nets in camp Khwai. Gray’s Eden was a beautiful hotel but no water and no WiFi!”

This is one of the very few agencies that can follow your brief, recommend you and organize for you unbelievable experiences, 100% tailor made! This year we traveled to Vietnam and Cambodia as a family for Christmas. Everything was very well planned, we were well treated in every destination, all guides were exceptional and we felt so welcomed and comfortable in every location. Vietnam is a crazy place to visit, so beautiful and so diversified where only with the right guide you can feel the authentic beauty of this place. Cambodia was the unexpected surprise! “We had an unforgettable honeymoon safari, many thanks to Wayfairer. Ellie helped us plan our trip and attended many calls with us as we deliberated on various trip itineraries. She was knowledgeable and worked with us to alter our plans after we ran into visa issues and had to reschedule our trip 6 months later than planned. The trip she planned ensured we saw the animals on our bucket list (and SO much more). When our flight got canceled on our return trip, Toon was quick to respond, arranging new accommodations and handling everything seamlessly which was a huge relief. The safari itself was incredible—definitely the trip of a lifetime. Knowledgeable guides, flawless logistics, and outstanding accommodations. Wayfairer did a great job all around.”

“Wayfarer took the worry out of Safari planning as their staff have had on the ground experience and understood 'the lay of the land', giving us confidence to to proceed with a multi location trip with excellent connections and support the whole time. The ground staff in Zimbabwe and Botswana were attentive and courteous ensuring we had no concerns that could not be dealt with on the spot. If we plan to have another Safari, it will be one with Wayfarer.”

“Our trip to Tanzania was exactly what we were hoping for and more! We received a trip plan that met our needs given limited time away from work and school we and stayed under our budget. Aggie added in a tree canopy tour and a crater walk to meet our request for some active excursions while on safari. She got us to 3 parks even though we only had 7 days in country. Leading up to the trip we were in great hands with help from our concierge contact, Peach. She answered questions and helped us adjust for last minute changes to our flights. Once we arrived we were totally spoiled by the beautiful accommodations and excellent food. Everything was exactly as pictured in the trip itinerary and better. We also felt good knowing Wayfairer picks places that respect the people and environment we were visiting. We highly recommend visiting Tanzania in the off season. Our early December trip was very affordable and in one camp we were the only family. Our safari guide Sifuni from Alika Africa was so knowledgeable, loves birds, and was excited to be the first truck out of camp and last in once he knew that was our style. Because it was low season we could get close to animals and stay to watch as long as we wanted. The only thing we would change about the entire experience is our flight. Next time we’ll ask Wayfairer to arrange it for us and we will never fly Turkish Airlines again. Don’t be lured by their business class experience - candlelight dinners in flight don’t matter much when an airline changes departure and arrival times by 24 hours, rebooks you on connecting flights in the air at the same time and takes 10 days of constant calls to customer service to finally resolve with only 48 hours left until the first flight, leaves you with a 12 hour layover but says you don’t qualify for their lounge sleeping rooms (yes we were business class), and has only 1 of 4 headsets working on two of four 8+ hour flights. Wayfairer politely mentioned something to me about people having trouble with Turkish Airlines when I was booking flights and I should have listened. We are already talking about where we want to go next and we plan to travel again with Wayfairer.”

“I liked how they scheduled a call with me to listen to our travel style and goals. Wayfairer tweaked the plans as we asked. We booked a safari in Tanzania and the trip went as planned, from airport pickup, etc. Balloon ride in the Serengeti was exceptional. We also used them for India and if some details were not okay, they adjusted. All was very professional and would recommend to others.”
