“This was our second trip using Wayfairer and we could not have been happier with how it turned out. From my meeting with Rihan to plan and set the itinerary and price to the detail planning with Chanelle, it was a first class experience. The value for the money we paid was exceptional. We had a guide and driver for every day and stayed in some nice hotels. We were able to do everything we wanted to do and learned a lot along the way. Both Rihan and Chanelle listened to us and made sure our needs and expectations were met. We could not have been happier with the way our vacation turned out. We would not hesitate to use Wayfairer Travel to plan another trip.”

“Our representatives, Rhian Williams and Chanelle Cook took such great care of us. Each was an invaluable resource in planning a first trip to the UK and then navigating through it. Thoughtful, attentive, patient, and knowledgeable is how I would describe them both. Even when the occasional concern arose during our travels, Wayfairer was swift in helping us resolve it; there was open, clear communication available at all times. We would absolutely collaborate with them again for another trip, just as soon as we recover from our current jet lag.”

“I was looking for a trip that let our whole family of 7 explore Japan together with as much ease as possible. Our ages ranged from 5 years to 76 years. Luckily we all enjoyed doing pretty much the same things. Malcolm put the perfect trip together. We wanted small towns, Japanese Alps, nature, cultural exposure to name a few things on our list. Moving from one town to another went very smoothly. Someone was always at the station ready to take us to the hotel. The hotels were varied and excellent. For the most part the guides were informative and flexible. The trip was a last minute idea and was happening during cherry blossom season. A big task which Malcolm and June took on with great competency and charm.”

From the very start of the process Malcolm listened intently to our interests in cultural immersion and outlined a remarkable experience. He was extremely flexible to ensure the trip addressed our travel preferences. Once booked, Peach from Wayfairer's Concierge Services took care of all the details prior to and during our travels. She checked in with us along the way to make sure everything was being handled effectively from car pickups to private guide arrangements to train travel. “Unforgettable Safari Experience in Botswana My safari to Botswana was truly the trip of a lifetime, thanks to the thoughtful planning by Wayfairer and the exceptional hospitality at Camp Kalahari and Splash Camp. Both camps offered the perfect balance of hotel-style comforts while still feeling deeply connected to nature. The accommodations were comfortable, the electricity was reliable throughout, and the staff went above and beyond to take care of me. The safari guides were outstanding—knowledgeable, attentive, and always made me feel safe. They knew exactly how to position the vehicle for the best photography opportunities while maintaining a respectful and safe distance from the wildlife. Because of their expertise, I was able to see an incredible variety of animals. What made this trip especially memorable was how well Wayfairer tailored the entire experience to suit my preferences. Every detail felt personalized, and they worked closely with me to ensure the journey was exactly what I wanted. While their services come at a premium, I genuinely feel I received great value for my money in return for such a flawless, unforgettable vacation.”

“I've taken multiple trips with wayfairer and think they have both provided great service, been incredibly professional, and always at the ready to help. Of the trips I've taken, two worth highlighting are the ones I took to Peru and Costa Rica. Both were planned by the incomparable Lotte Nash and handled by the friendliest concierge imaginable, Chanelle Cook. I had made the request to travel to Peru with only a couple weeks notice, but Lotte was able to accommodate me and, while I was traveling, Chanelle and her helpful team saved me when my flight to Peru was redirected (through no fault of wayfairers) to Colombia. Costa Rica was planned further in advance, but when I came to Lotte with only a week or so before leaving saying I wanted to add to the trip, she suggested a couple of options and quickly made it happen (and it ended up being the best part of the trip!). And of course Chanelle continued to help me through the rest of the trip with other questions, making small changes, and dinner reservations as needed. These two examples and the people I mentioned are only a small sampling of what they offer. I encourage anyone to visit their website, see what they have to offer across every continent on Earth, and then speak with one of their many amazing team members.”

“Our trip was really well planned with Etienne answering my hundreds of questions and helping to tailor our special holiday to exactly what we wanted. Though not local he was very knowledgeable and asked questions of locals where there were queries he didn't have immediate answers to. On the trip the support was excellent, both Etienne and Aggie were just a quick text away and checking in to make sure all was going well. It made it really easy to sit back and enjoy the moment, knowing we were in good hands. When we had flight delays and were wondering if we would make it to our next destination, I felt happy knowing that they would organise something lovely for us if things didn't go to plan. “Our group of 4 friends had the best time on our trip to Tanzania! Aggie & Toon were so incredibly helpful before, during, & after our trip. We gave them a broad vision of what we’d like to do, and they delivered our dream vacation! They selected 2 hotels and 3 camps, all of which were beautiful with excellent food, but best of all, the most amazing staff! We were in awe of the hospitality at the places we stayed. Everyone was so kind and made it feel like you were staying with friends. We started with a relaxing day at our hotel near Arusha, then on to 7 days of safari, then 2 days in Zanzibar. From the first airport pickup until the end of safari we were with our outstanding guide, Justin. He was such a knowledgeable and fun person- we were so happy we got to spend our safari days with him. Thanks to Toon & Aggie we knew exactly what to pack and what to look forward to, and then had all of our expectations exceeded! We absolutely recommend them to anyone planning a vacation and we already can’t wait to book our next adventure!”

“We've just returned from a six night safari in Samburu National Park and Ol Pojeta Conservancy. From the moment we landed in Nairobi we were looked after unbelievably well. It meant that we could relax and enjoy every moment of our wonderful and memorable trip. The before and aftercare was also very thorough and Aggie and Toon were so friendly. The two camps we stayed in were outstanding, especially Bush Camp in Ol Pojeta. What a setting! Thank you from us both. It was worth every penny we paid.”

“We could not be more satisfied customers! Our African adventure in Feb. 2025 was beautifully planned and orchestrated by Wayfairer. We were completely comfortable during the planning process in discussing what our bucket list included and were so impressed with how easy it was to put our 17 day trip together. Communication was excellent all throughout the process. Our preferences for food and style of accommodation were integrated perfectly. We started in Uganda with a night in Entebbe, followed by 2 nights near the Kibale National Forest for a Chimp Trek, and 2 nights near the Bwindi Imprenetrable National Park for a Gorilla Trek. This was followed by a 1 night stay in Nairobi with visits to The Giraffe Centre and Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. Next up we were off to the Naboisho Conservancy in Kenya for a 5 night Safari experience. We finished our epic adventure on the coast of Kenya at Manda Bay. We are so impressed with how smoothly every aspect of this trip went. We were met at every airport and escorted to our driver, briefed upon arrival in Uganda with a review of the itinerary, what to expect and told who was meeting us at each stop and who our driver would be. Each and every person involved in escorting and driving us was so personable and knowledgable. Thank you so much to our Wild Frontier drivers David, Steffie and Frank. We were also given a chance to debrief after the Ugandan portion of the trip and give feedback as to how it all went (perfectly). The Kenyan portion of the trip was just as well organized and managed. We had no hiccups along the way and never needed to reach out with concerns to any of the Wayfairer team. All of the accommodations met and exceeded our expectations. We felt we were given such personalized care and because we had been well prepped with the necessary vaccinations, visas, and permits, never endured any stressful delays. We cannot thank the team at Wayfairer enough for bringing this bucket list trip of a lifetime to fruition for us.”

“We had the most incredible and memorable trip thanks to Wayfairer travel and particularly a huge thanks to Ettiene - the man on the ground in SA. Ettiene was the first to pick up the phone to me and really listen to what I wanted and keep within budget. He was very realistic given the time of year that we wished to travel, so having his expert advise was reassuring. I’ll be honest, at first I was very sceptical choosing a company that myself and many of my well travelled friends had never heard of before. I think it was Ettiene’s knowledge of the bush that won me over and all his reassurance's along the way too. After a trip like this, I wouldn’t hesitate recommending them to anyone wanting adventure travel. They put together an unforgettable itinerary as well. Our first stop was Camp Khwai, a really beautiful rustic tented camp set opposite the river, where we saw hippos grazing. Very comfortable tents, ours had a private swimming pool, an outdoor shower and bath. We received a warm welcome from Rebecca and her team. The staff at Camp Khwai were so personable, they pulled out all the stops, including a birthday cake making my 60th birthday extra special. Emmex, our guide was unbelievable in his knowledge and ability to track the animals, we all learnt so much from him. We loved sampling some of the staple Botswanaan food cooked by the talented chef at Camp Khwai. All delicious! We were in the Delta during the rainy season, so at times animals were difficult to spot, but it did not hinder our experience at all as we did see almost everything. We were enthralled by the African skies and the sudden electric storms at sunset, a magnificent light show, it was so dramatic and well worth the raindrops! Our second stop was Zimbabwe, all transfers were seamless and went smoothly. We were met at the border and driven into the Vic Falls. We all loved the Palm River hotel, felt more like a 5 star than a 4! The grounds were impeccable with warthog, monkeys and the odd impala walking around. Ettiene had arranged a sunset cruise with dinner on the Zambezi as well as a boma dinner the following night. We did the Falls on our own and as per recommendation went to the Lookout restaurant for lunch with the most spectacular view! All in all, I cannot fault a thing, I can only share and hope others are able to do it too.”

“We had a wonderful first-timer's experience in Japan in November 2024, thanks in large part to our Wayfairer guides who orchestrated all the requisite elements perfectly. Malcolm Welby and June Haranyaki each contributed to the experience. Transfers, tickets, local guides and lodging worked perfectly throughout. Meals were uniformly excellent. In total there were six of us, but we were traveling on two very different itineraries for parts of the visit, and Malcolm and June were able to seamlessly weave all of this together. Our trip was split about evenly between large cities and small countryside stays and day trips, with some very fun hiking on the Komono Kodo, terrific museums, gorgeous fall colors in the country and super local guides throughout our 25 days in Japan. All in all a great introduction to travel in Japan. A unique and highly recommended destination. You will love it.”

“We had an amazing time in Sri Lanka. Lotte designed a fabulous itinerary and included many aspects that she identified through talking to us about our interests...for example adding a cooking class and train ride were real highlights. All the admin was completely smooth and we had a fantastic local guide (Jayan) for the duration of the trip. He took time to take us 'off piste' when we expressed an interest in something so we did surprising extras like unexpectedly visiting an Elephant orphanage and gifting us a home made jar of blended spices. The accommodation was fabulous - 9 Skies (former Tea Plantation manager's house) would be one of the best boutique hotels we have ever stayed in and coupled with a more traditional time in a resort this made it a really great holiday. Though we did not need assistance on the trip, Chanelle and the concierge team were always available and that is a useful backup. I would happily recommend Lotte and Wayfairer to any client who would want a truly bespoke holiday experience. Well done Wayfairer - we will be back!”
