“Be better when making enquiries whether by email or telephone to be told of additional security deposit. Do not understand why security deposit (Returnable) is taken at the time of booking when the holiday is over 6 weeks away should be taken on arrival ?? Paid an extra 2% credit card charge on the £75.00 do I get this back too £1.50 ??”

Dear Mrs Ford - Many thanks for your comments regarding the refundable security deposit for your stay at Peninsula Cottages in Wroxham. About 50% of the owners we work with have such a security deposit in place to ensure their properties are returned as they should be but many of them do not have a facility to take monies on arrival like hotels can when they check in. The details of the security deposit are included in the property description on our website and this is also explained at time of booking. Unfortunately credit card charges are those charged by the credit card company at 2% and all credit card transactions are levied at this rate so these charges are extended on by the owners. We are unable to do anything about this I am afraid. We would be happy to discuss with you anytime and in the meantime wish you a lovely holiday at Peninsula Cottages. Regards Waterside Breaks

“(I hope I have used your star rating okay, it should be a 5 star rating) Two phone calls involving two of your staff (Annabelle and Charlotte), and every second spent with them was a delight. No negativity despite my family's requirement being a trifle difficult, helpful in the extreme, and both bright and cheerful. Thank you both, we had left booking our holiday far later than we usually do, but nothing was a problem. If your star ratings .went higher, you would have been rated at the maximum, whatever it was. Thank you, ladies.”

“The web site is easy to navigate and has all the information one needs to book. The young lady who took my reservation was cheerful and very helpful and the whole booking process couldn't have been simpler. I had requested a voucher of some kind as this was to be a gift for my husband and the voucher along with confirmation arrived the very next day. So far, I am really impressed and look forward to the holiday being every bit as pleasant.”
