When travelling overseas, the one thing you should never skimp on is your travel insurance cover, as should things go wrong you want the very best cover for you and your possessions.

At The True Traveller, we’re used to advising people on travelling all around the world, and due to feedback from our customers we’ve changed our insurance website, made it even better value and extended the range of products.

On Single Trips, we offer three Policies called True Value, Traveller and Traveller Plus. True Value is designed for travellers under 40 years of age, and is designed for last minute travellers and backpackers. The Traveller policy, our most popular, is designed for holiday makers and adventurous travellers alike, and Traveller Plus gives enhanced medical and cancellation cover.

On our Multi Trip Policies, again we offer the Traveller policy valid for unlimited trips throughout the year for durations up to 30 days, and the Traveller Plus policy which offers enhanced cover for unlimited trips lasting up to 70 days. We also have a budget True Value Policy for travellers under 40 years of age.

We’ve tried to get the prices as keen as possible on all our insurances. This means on the Single Trip and Multi-Trip you have the option to exclude Baggage Cover as this may well be covered in your Home Contents insurance; you also have the option to add-in different activity packs. The Traveller Pack covers 92 of the regular holiday activities which you will get involved in, and covers clerical/non-manual work as standard. The Adventure Pack covers a further 41 activities and is designed for the more adventurous traveller and backpacker, covering trekking to 4,600m, as well as volunteer work and manual work. The Extreme and Ultimate Packs covers all the more extreme and ultimate adventures. The Extreme covers trekking over 4,600m to any altitude, as well as Scuba Diving to 50M. The Ultimate covers Hang Gliding, Mountaineering and Polo to name just three of the Ultimate adventures!

“Excellent service after being let down by our existing insurers refusing to extend our insurance when we couldn’t get home during the Covid-19 crisis. I used the on line chat before buying which was a great help and faq’s to clarify something. I have already recommended them to friends in a similar position and will definitely be using them again.”

“True Traveller are great. I've used their insurance twice now and I don't think I'd use anyone else. I was hit by a car last year while on a working holiday and they took the stress out of dealing with extortionate hospital bills. Highly, highly recommended!”

“True Traveller offered an easy and quick service online for us to renew our travel insurance in order to continue our travels. “I am going on the Everest base camp in April 2020. I had quotes from 3 different websites. True traveler were not only the cheapest but the website was very user friendly and it was easy to find what cover i required. I phoned the helpline to discuss before i purchased and they were very helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend True Traveler for any adventure or trekking type holiday insurance.”

“Consiglio vivamente di scegliere questa assicurazione di viaggio tra le tante sul mercato. Semplicissima da personalizzare tra le tante opzioni che proprone, con un semplice click online. True Traveller é inoltre una delle poche assicurazioni che é possibile attivare se state già viaggiando a prezzi competitivi. Il personale del customer service é gentilissimo e disponibile. Una volta avviata la pratica in un paio di settimane ho ricevuto il rimborso dei soldi spesi per il trattamento di un'infezione batterica che ho effettuato in Tailandia. Mi sono trovata benissimo io stessa, la consiglio e la risceglieró per prossimi viaggi sicuramente!”

“Excellent product and nice internet product page with clear, easy to understand descriptions of the product, add-ons and limits & restrictions. I had to extend my trip due to Coronavirus and my existing insurer didn't offer me suitable cover. True Traveller allows you to take out insurance while on your trip, unlike many other travel insurance products. Brilliant stuff!”

“It was so easy to extend my True Traveller insurance. I received an email reminder about expiry a couple of weeks beforehand, went online and completed it within minutes. I was also given a 10% discount for renewing. Being able to extend insurance whilst out of your home country is fantastic 👍”

“Due to the closing of borders following the pandemic, my travel insurance with AIG had lapsed and they refused to renew it. True Traveller have let me take out a new policy whilst still abroad which can renewed month on month. Exceptional service and extremely reassuring.”

“Easy to set up. Compared to other companies everything was very clear & straightforward to understand. Great that there is a 2 year IEC policy option. Super simple to make policy changes. When I had to make 2 claims the process was very smooth, with no arguing, just timely transfers into my bank! Would highly recommend True Traveller.”
