Ordered ivory travertine based on a sample. What I got was more like orange. I expected colour and pattern variations, but not one of the tiles was the same colour as the sanple

Dear Customer, Many thanks for your feedback. Because our staff is working from separate locations due to the Covid situation, sometimes we may unintentionally fall short of our service expectations. Please advise what we did wrong and we will make sure to learn from our mistakes.

Clunky e-commerce, and very inflexible shipping set up as had to pay a pallet price for 1 m2 product was perfect though

Dear Customer, Many thanks for your feedback. Our prices are very competitive and we pass the delivery charges from our transport companies directly to the customers without any profit. Due to the nature of our products, we have to use pallet networks to transport our fragile tiles safely. If we use cheaper courier services, the items won't be insured and they will most likely get damaged on the way to yourselves. Therefore 1m2 or 30m2 of items have the same transport costs and these are all well displayed on our checkout pages with no hidden fees.

The service was helpful and prompt. Delivery arrived quickly. Unfortunately damaged in transit, many tiles were broken. The company helped to quickly resolve the issue and redistributed the shipment the very next day.

Dear customer , Thank you for your kind words about how good and prompt our service was and how we helped quickly resolve the issue for you by shipping out the replacements the very next day. Unfortunately , damages can sometimes occur during the haulage process which we can only hold the haulage company to account. We then try to do the best we can as a company to help resolve any issues to help achieve a satisfactory outcome for our customers.

I recently purchased some classic travertine tiles. Sadly upon delivery the quality of them was very low . To be fair they did take them back and agreed to deliver what they considered to be their normal standards of tile . However they turned out the same. Having installed many bathrooms over the years, I’ve not seen such poor quality all in , not one , but two pallet loads . Very disappointed. Plus side they did give full refund .

Dear Mr Belben, We were sad to hear you were not happy with your initial shipment which we agreed and collected back and ship out replacements at no extra cost to yourselves. Prior to replacements, clear photos of multiple tiles were sent before and agreed by yourselves and replacements were shipped accordingly. We were then sorry to hear that it was not possible to match your expectations of wanting a premium quality natural stone product whilst wanting to price match your own budget for an industry standard material, which again we agreed to collect from yourselves at no extra cost and refund you in full including the delivery charges. In order to meet your expectations of a better selected product, we advise choosing from ivory travertine range. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

No problem with the service but 12 of the tiles were damaged - some appeared to have been glued back together. The company offered me a 30% discount but only on the 12 damaged tiles.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback. The customer ordered wrong goods and was asked to return the goods for full refund. Apologies for the inconvenience however we do not offer a collection service unless it is our fault.

The price of the tiles was very good. A very quick delivery. But was not happy to pay for two pallets on delivery and it was delivered on only one !

Thank you for the review. Our website calculated 2 full pallet charge (£92.00) for the customer's order. Our warehouse managed to squeeze the order into 1 pallet but however the pallet became overweight, we were charged £18.00 extra by the transport company. Therefore rather than charging £92.00, we charged £64.00 only. We thought this would be considered as a favour rather than providing a bad service. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Tiles were good value for money but from 114 tiles there were 12 which all had the same corner broken where the pallet had been poorly handled at some stage. Luckily I was able to use all tiles as a number of cut tiles were required.

Hi. Many thanks for leaving feedback. We have checked this and our team has not been notified for any problems before, during or after the delivery. We will be contacting the transport company and the customer to check how the tiles were delivered damaged. Luckily the customer has got extra tiles so no replacements are needed.

Apologies for the delivery issue. We can confirm the delivery was 1 day delayed. We are investigating what has happened. And we have notified the central hub that the local depot was rude to the customer which is unacceptable. We will let you know once there are updates.

Tiles arrived on planned day and look good quality. Haulier struggled to offload from truck due to weight on pallet, which eventually broke. He would not have managed on his own. Have not unbanded all packs yet but have noted that at least one has broken due to the rough handling.

Hi, Thank you for your message. We checked this order and it was just 10 m2 of goods (approximately 300kgs). Normally this weight is not considered very heavy considering that our pallets usually come around 1000Kgs. Also after speaking to the transport company, they do not report any issues. If you have any more queries or recommedations, please do not hesitate to contact us

I have just taken delivery of 44 sq m of travertine tiles. As far as I can tell the tiles are fine though we have not yet looked closely at them. However the poor chap who delivered them had a major struggle with the biggest pallet. His pallet trolley is not powered and it took three of us to push it up the slight slope of the footpath onto the driveway. A good job my wife is fit! I suggest smaller pallets or a powered trolley.

Hi, Many thanks for your feedback. Apologies that you have had issues with your delivery. Some pallets are heavy unfortunately however still within the allowed legal limit of 1000 Kgs. If there is uneven surface at the delivery site, these problems may occur. We have also passed this message to our transport network as a suggestion to improve their service.

Samples dispatched quickly. Easy to order and pay on line. Only concern is poor packaging of main order.Marble tiles put on to flimsy pallet which got damaged in shipping and had to be fixed on to a euro pallet by courier firm and insufficient packaging between piles of tiles and around tiles. To be fair to delivery driver he did offer to return delivery to supplier which I declined due to not having time to wait for another shipment. Only 2 tiles broken and some chipped on edges but can live with that. Price was good but do bear in mind the delivery cost. As stated in terms and conditions it is well worth unpackaged and inspecting all of your order before signing delivery paperwork, will take some time and not sure how delivery driver will feel about standing around whilst you do this. also a couple of tiles 2nd quality but again can get round this by cutting these when fitting.

Dear Customer, Many thanks for your feedback. We always take photos, how the goods are packed, the condition of the pallets, products etc for our reference. In this case we could not see any problems with the way of packaging. There is a strong possibility that the pallet was not handled properly during transit. Therefore we advise our customers to check the condition of the pallets before accepting the delivery and report anything wrong with the way of packaging or the condition of the product. We were not notified for this issue during or after the delivery, at least looking at the review above, there are not extensive damages with the product which is a good thing. Please get in touch with us if you need more assistance.

My order was processed and dispatched really quickly. The tiles arrived exactly on time - which was very refreshing. The packaging looked really good too. When the tiles arrived and I opened a couple of boxes to check for breakages, I must admit at first I thought the wrong ones had been delivered - as the first few I pulled out looked significantly different to the sample tile I had ordered and received through the post weeks previously. But - after I'd opened a number of boxes I found a couple of tiles that did look like my sample. However I did feel that maybe I'd been sent a "good looking" sample tile that wasn't hugely representative of the finish of the majority of tiles. The driver was pretty keen to get away and didn't give me much time to do my checks.

Hi, Many thanks for the feedback, since the customer has not got in touch with us since delivery, we are only guessing that the customer is not happy with the variation on the stone. Normally the tiles that you purchased (Ivory travertine tumbled) may have different shades, some of them may have holes (as tumbled), hence this is the beauty of the stone. If you can kindly get in touch with us, we can advise more on this issue.

The tiles look nice now that they are down , but there are a lot of as i call it , big veins in the tile that make them week and break easily . I do not tile much so i do not know if this is normal , with this type of Travertine tile . I have had to be careful when laying the tile , not to put to much pressure on them or they just break . Like i said , i do not tile much so i dont know if this is normal , They do look nice , once down .

Many thanks for your feedback. Normally the travertine do not have veins as in the marble and they would not break easily. We do not have any reported issues with this kind of problem, if you can kindly get in touch with more information, we will look into this.

I found the price of the tiles to be very good, however the customer service could do with improvement. First of all when I ordered online, there was no option to enter my address or contact details (just the first part of my postcode so they could calculate the delivery cost). I paid and was sent a notification of payment via PayPal, but not from Travertine tiles themselves. I then realised that my address on PayPal was incorrect, as I had recently moved. I updated my PayPal details and contacted Travertine to let them know that they may have an incorrect delivery address for me. I was then wondering how Travertine were going to contact me to arrange delivery, as stated on their website, as they did not ask for any contact details. The only way I could think of them being able to contact me would be through PayPal, which again had an old telephone number- I've never heard of a company using PayPal details to ring a customer! So I put this in my email along with the correct delivery address. I was sent an email the following day confirming this which was fine. It was not until 4 days after I made the order that I was actually contacted to arrange a delivery date. After making arrangements between myself and my partner we arranged delivery for Thursday 7th May. After waiting all until 12:50pm I was called by Travertine to say 'unfortunately the van has broken down so we have to reschedule delivery'. I am very understanding that these things cannot be helped, but I wasn't even given an apology, just a 'this is the way it is, deal with it' attitude. I said could they come the next day and could they make the timing more precise as it means I will have to take more time off work, so they agreed to come the next day in the morning which was quite reasonable. They turned up as agreed and the delivery driver was very friendly and helpful and had called beforehand to tell me he would be there shortly. The tiles were delivered in perfect condition and the exact amount as ordered. I am not usually the type of person that complains, but I feel that the staff I spoke to on the telephone seriously need to go on some customer service courses as the person I spoke to was quite miserable, and as stated before, wasn't even apologetic to me about the van breaking down- of which I was extremely understanding. I also deal with the public and have had to cancel appointments etc and would never dream of not apologising- even if it wasn't my fault, because that is what you should do as I also understand that it is not the customer's fault either. Also for the inconvenience of having to take MORE time off work, and a delivery cost of £44, I feel I should have been offered some money back as a gesture of good will, but I am getting the impression that Travertine Tiles don't care much for their customers, and wouldn't be surprised if I don't get any feedback from this. They need to update their website to incorporate contact details for the customer, and to send automatic email confirmations with an order number, as it is a bit unnerving to spend £144 and not receive any confirmation from the company you have ordered from.

We checked the comments by the customer, and Paypal is a very popular platform for online payments and nearly all of customers use them without any problem. It is easy to use with on screen instructions. We also advised the address change to the customer via email and shipped to the address that was requested by the customer, therefore we do not understand why the address issue has been brought in the comments. In regards to the delivery, the haulier's vehicle did break down which was beyond our or transport company's control. After checking with our haulier, they advised that the customer was contacted and were apologised, they also arranged the delivery for the following day AM service which seems a fair solution in these circumstances.

The service from travertine store is fine, problem is the carrier you used,(Crabtree) I told them we lived on a narrow road, they confirmed and said they were aware of it and advised delivery time 10 o clock, at 11.15 no delivery, I told them I could'nt wait any longer, at 11.30 driver rung me and said he was near, fine I'll wait..the carrier sent a 18t wagon, to big to get up our road so I had to meet driver in pub car park, unload my tiles into my vehicle then drive to my house and unload tiles into house from my vehicle, not only late, used my vehicle for delivery service I paid for, having to handle tiles twice, think you'll agree not great delivery service. Unfortunely the carrier is part of the whole order which reflects on your company, sorry folks

We provided all the necessary information to the transport company prior to shipping, however apparently they missed these notes, which resulted in a poor delivery service as in this case. We apologise on behalf of our transport company and we will make sure this does not happen again
