“I bought a brass letterbox flap which was good quality for the price although I would have liked a thin, moulded rubber gasket to seal it against the door. From the dimensions shown on the website it should have been an exact match for the one I needed to replace. However, when it arrived I found the hole in the door needed to be about 15mm wider which led to some prolonged carpentry by me with a chisel. This was not easy as I was cutting against the grain but we got there in the end.
I now realise letterbox flaps are something of a minefield as there appears to be no standardisation.
It would have helped if the size of the opening in the door required was shown on the website. This would have helped my select a better match.”

Sorry about the confusion, the photo shows 2 and almost always hinges are sold in pairs but you're right it is not noted in the description. I will of course get this updated as soon as possible.
