“I don’t write reviews too often but the team at TMC deserve the positive feedback! Top class service from the motorhome rental team at TMC, with a special mention for Greg (or ‘Gregon The Great’ as our 3 year old daughter called him) and Angela. Nothing more was too much trouble, vehicle was practically brand new and immaculate, and pickup/dropoff was seamless. Thank you to all the team behind the scenes who help provide such a great customer experience. Wouldn’t hesitate one bit to recommend TMC for motorhome hire. Once our time comes to buy, we’ll be hopping back on the ferry from Belfast to buy from TMC :-)”

“Hi guys big shout out firstly to Emma who was so helpful and polite and funny made renting a van so easy and simple super van too new clean tidy pleasure to drive Emma really helped us out of a tight spot over the weekend many thanks for your help I would definitely recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them again better rates than all the top names too so it's bye bye enterprise and all the others try Emma and the team you won't regret it oh and they hire campervans too great work guys”

“Absolutely fabulous to deal with. We recently purchased a VW camper from Tottington and whilst viewing several garages we very quickly decided this was the company we wanted to deal with. Harry was brilliant in letting us test drive numerous vehicles and answering our many questions and emails without sales pressure. Jason also went out of his way to find answers to queries. Sorry it has taken a while to post a review but we have been enjoying our van so much and definitely made the right choice of van and vendor. We have since realised that the conversion company are also very highly rated too as VW specialist approved and this gives us a high degree of comfort about safety too. We were very pleased in how we were looked after by Harry and Jason and cannot recommend highly enough. Price, collection service and customer service all excellent- a super family business.Thanks all.”

“I recently bought a campervan from Tottington Motor Company and cannot praise them highly enough. Because I live in Northern Ireland and, due to personal circumstances at the time, could not travel to view the van in question Jason, Gavin and Harry went to great lengths to give me as much of a virtual experience as possible, answering numerous questions promptly, sending over videos and giving me a live 'walk-around'. This service was only topped by their impeccable delivery service! I know they promise free UK delivery but did not expect that to stretch to Northern Ireland. Not only was the van delivered right to my home as promised but Jason flew over to give me a comprehensive hand-over. Unbidden, he even sent a couple of extras including a small stool in the post a couple of days later. This first class treatment didn't stop with delivery. A minor issue involving a remote control was quickly resolved and a few further questions rapidly answered. I've had experience of a couple of motorhome dealers in the past whose attitude just doesn't compare with that of Tottington's. Jason and his team went over and above the call of duty to make my purchase a smooth, happy and easy one.”

“All promise - no follow through. We booked a VW campervan with the intention of trying before buying. We were told the hire vehicle came with various fittings so we paid £250 deposit in January for a week’s hire in April. Within one week of booking, we double checked what the van came with, ie. TV aerial and awning. We were told that it didn’t so we cancelled, as the whole purpose of the booking was to experience a van similar to what we planned to buy. We weren’t given our deposit back, even though we cancelled after just 6 days of booking. Numerous phone calls, emails and posted letters later, all of which were ignored, their official line is no refund of deposits. At no point could we speak to anyone in authority. What incredibly poor customer service to say the least. Even if a deduction had been made for the first week of booking before cancellation it would be understandable but to keep the full £250 after just 6 days of booking is unjust. What a lost opportunity too as we were serious about buying a van.”

Hello Mr & Mrs Crowden, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, I am afraid that your review is really not a true reflection of the service received. I am aware you attended the Manchester Motorhome & Caravan show in January 23 and from that show you made contact with our hire department. To be clear and you could see at the show by the campervans on display, none of our hire campervans or motorhomes have retractable awnings fitted, our campervans do not have a television or aerial fitted due to the space limitations and at NO point did I or any of my team advise you that our rental campervans had awnings and televisions installed. In your written communication to us of the 26th February 23 you state that at the show you were impressed with what you saw and how Harry dealt with you both. Harry did discuss the "try before you buy scheme" and as such you made a booking for April 2023. We had made it clear in all of our communication with you and also in our written terms and conditions of hire that we issued to you that the booking deposit of £250 is non-refundable, we do not hide the fact at all. Angela in our hire department took a further call from you within a few days of your booking asking us to confirm that the new VW campervan you would hire in April 23 would have fitted a retractable awning and a television with a television aerial, Angela proceeded to advise you that none of our campervan hire fleet had a retractable awning fitted or a television and aerial installed, Angela then proceeded to involve myself to see if we could assist further to meet your expectations. I use a portable television along with a exterior mounted aerial and I offered to loan to you this so you could have the television experience whilst you had our VW campervan on hire, we say to ALL customers that we are unable to guarantee a good television signal as it is area dependant of course. At this point you advised that you wish to cancel your booking, Angela had made it clear that you would loose your deposit, you then wrote to me and in your words to appeal to my sense of fairness in our customer reviews, as we have already advised you of our terms and conditions of hire from the outset and you have not liked the fact that I am unwilling to override the decision made by our very experienced rental manager you see it fit to write an inaccurate 1 star review. We are of course very happy for you to commence with the hire that you booked or for you to move the dates, should you wish to proceed with the hire then please do call our reservations team on 0161 725 5400. “A follow-up to my review of 7 months ago. I had a problem with the gas connection on my motorhome I rang Tottington motors and as I live about 20 minutes drive away they asked me to bring it in. The brilliant Gary from the workshop diagnosed the problem, fitted a new connection pipe and I was on my way within 30 minutes - problem fixed I have never had such consistently good service as from Tottington MC. Absolutely first class - highly recommended!”
