We are a small family run business and, like many family run businesses of our size, we need to close the doors between Christmas and New Year otherwise we get little time together. We made every effort to make this clear on our website on a header on every page, and by putting a 10% discount on everything we sell as a thank you for customer's patience while we take a break. The sale and the reason was advertised on the home page on a large banner. It was also explained on our dedicate shipping page, found within the 'Information' menu.
I am very sorry if you were not aware that we would not be shipping orders placed after Dec 22nd, until January 3rd, which was the first day back after the holiday season Bank Holidays. Next time we take a pause between Christmas and New year we will ensure we improve the visibility of our holiday shipping times.
As your order was placed on December 27th it was shipped on January 3rd, and delivered on January 4th.
I am sorry if your expectations were higher and for any inconvenience caused. Our normal policy is to deliver next working day if orders are placed before 1pm on a working day. Now the holiday is over, this policy is back in full swing.
