About The British Blanket Company:

The British Blanket Company is a family-run business bringing colour, comfort and warmth to homes all over the UK and beyond. Founded by siblings Bethan and Joe, we’re passionate about creating beautiful blankets that feel as good as they look.

Our designs begin in our Bristol studio, where we pair joyful colour palettes with timeless patterns. Each blanket is then woven at traditional mills around the British Isles using natural, sustainable fibres like wool and recycled cotton.

What makes us special is our focus on quality, craftsmanship and sustainability. We work closely with our makers and choose materials that are kind to both people and the planet.

Our customers love us for our uplifting colours, thoughtful touches and the cosy feeling that comes with every blanket. Whether you’re treating yourself or sending a gift, we’re here to help you find a little extra joy, every day.

“This has been my second purchase from the family run company which needless to say speaks for itself! After ordering I received my lovely rug promptly.. there was only one in stock in my colour so I was lucky although I am sure the company would have organised one as quickly as possible. “I bought my husband a dark blue herringbone rug to go with his armchair, and when I saw how thick and warm it was I bought one for myself, (Lingonberry) to go with the sofa. We reach for them on chilly evenings when we haven't got round to lighting the fire. Since then all three of my adult children requested one for Christmas. with the choice of patterns, weights and sizes there was something to suit everyone.”

“Not only are these beautifully coloured, good quality blankets, I get the impression that the company is a hard working, ethically thoughtful and artistic one. I like the fact that in newsletters there are also links to other companies, it makes me think that I am dealing with people who I want to do business with and who share with their colleagues. Very good photography and uplifting to look at during lockdown.”
