“I had recently retired after 40 years working in community development and education. Rather than doing nothing I decided to do a TEFL course so I could either volunteer to work with newcomers helping them learn English or I could go into schools near Lucca in Italy as a support worker as I am there a few months each year. I started the online 120 hours course. All the course information was easy to follow as I was unsure about not being on a face to face course. I did have to have two extensions as we moved house and spent weeks trying to get internet access! Again this was easily applied for and granted. I'm sure I spent many more hours than 120 but it has been well worth it. I only asked for one support ticket and it was quickly answered and the tutor gave full advice. I would recommend online courses now and recommend TEFL for their well laid out modules and support.”

“The TEFL Academy provided me with useful knowledge, lots of practice, informative worksheets and a vision for the future. I was very happy with the amount of work and how helpful the Academy was. I completed the level 5 TEFL course (168hrs) and I am very happy I did so. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to travel and teach.”

“I have just completed the 120 hour online course and I recommend it to anyone who wants to either refresh their existing knowledge on teaching or start from scratch. The website is very user friendly and well organised and the course itself is well thought and very thorough.”

“I recently completed my Level 5 168 Hr Online course and to be honest everything was perfect. The way the tutors responded was so proficient, all the assignments were submitted on time (5 to 7 days) and all the feedback was so clear. If you want to have the best online TEFL course PLEASE!! , The TEFL Academy is the best course provider.”

“I Have currently received my TEFL certificate (Distinction) and this was done while completing my degree. The TEFL Academy helped me secure this certificate without too many hassles. It was an interesting 120 hours of which 20 hours were in-class. it may seem like a short amount of time but it was very informative. The online course was challenging but not overly difficult. They also offered me so much advice and assistance especially regarding course assignments and extension of online course.”

“I have just completed the 168hour combined course with The TEFL Academy and it made me extremely happy. I'm just sad that it's all over now!! The course was fantastic, providing me with a broad range of practical information and skills for teaching English as a foreign language. In fact, before I even finished my course, I was able to obtain a job as an English teacher in Spain purely because of what I had learned through the course and the lesson planning experience I gained through completion of the first assignment. If you feel like English language teaching might be for you then I fully recommend the 168 hour course to you. The additional 20 hour intensive in-class weekend gave me the confidence I needed to be able to stand up in front of a class of people and teach. If I had any issues, there was always online support to assist me in a timely manner. I'm so glad that I decided to get my TEFL certificate through The TEFL Academy!”

“It took me longer than 6months to complete as i am a school teacher and had allot of other work to complete i contacted the TEFL academy and without any hassle i was able to gain an extra 3 montns. I finaly completed it this month and couldnt be happier with my experience. I think a regular reminder on progress would help motivate more work to be done. Overall great experience.”

“I was very impressed by the comprehensive course content and the layout was user friendly. My only regret was not using the online support available more as the response was very quick and helpful when I did towards the end of my course! The 20 hours of classroom was very helpful in applying practises to students and provided experience in dealing with both anticipated/unanticipated scenarios one may encounter in the classroom and effective ways of dealing with these. Feedback from assignments was very detailed and specific providing clear guidelines for future assignments. A thoroughly enjoyable course, thank you!”

“I recently completed the Level 5 168 hour TEFL course which I enjoyed very much. It is inexpensive compared to other courses but still has very good course material. This is not a course you will be able to finish in a couple of weeks without learning something useful. The assignments are a bit of a challenge but are good preparation for what you will be handing should you get a job teaching english. I am going to use my certificate for teaching English overseas when I'm travelling.”

“I completed the level 5 online TEFL course (168 hours) by The TEFL Academy. I have wanted to do a TEFL course for some time, as I am passionate about both teaching and travel. While there are many TEFL courses available, I chose the TEFL Academy because of their excellent reputation in training prospective teachers. I completed this course in just over 5 weeks, and I was able to do this at home through online learning. This course offers excellent value for money, and has helped set me up for a career teaching English abroad. The course covers a wide range of material, and provides all sorts of interesting activities. Moreover, there is much opportunity to practice what you have learnt, through the online tests and assessments. This course gives you the chance to create your own lesson plans, and receive feedback on this. The marking is detailed, efficient and will help you further develop your teaching skills and lesson planning. There is plenty of support after finishing the TEFL course, as you still have access to all the course material for 6 months. Plus, there is plenty of information on how to find a teaching job abroad. I would 100% recommend this course to anyone who wants to teach abroad!”

“I think this is one of the best price/quality TEFL courses from other reviews I had read before choosing The TEFL Academy. I was very happy about the communication with the tutors. Speedy replies and extensive feedback. Learning modules and their content was appropriate and I believe even for experienced teachers it can be very helpful. Big focus is on lesson planning, which is probably one of the aspects new teachers don't pay enough attention to, after this course lesson planning won't be an issue anymore. Also loved the amount of external resources provided to students throughout the course.”
