“I completed the Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs). Well, where do I start? First of all, the material online was very detailed and informative. I found the content was delivered in a very simple and concise manner so it was very easy to understand the topics being covered. I was worried a little bit about the grammar section but it was explained in such a way that it would provide anyone with little to no knowledge of grammar rules (me) a good foundation on the topic. I would definitely recommend the 20 hours practical classroom experience. It ties everything covered online together and you get the chance to apply what you have learned in a classroom environment. You also get to meet fellow TEFL students and share your interests in travelling. It's also a good time to make new contacts because we will all be teaching in different parts of the world and it would be great to check in on each other now and again. You could even pay each other a visit and have your very own tour guide! It was just such a fun experience overall! You also get very useful tips and information from an experienced TEFL teacher so I would definitely recommend the 168 hours course. It's a great chance to get some answers to questions you may have about finding a job or living abroad because you are getting the information directly from someone with vast experience. The assignments were challenging but they really help you develop your teaching skills in terms of content creation, lesson planning and make you get into the TEFL teacher mindset. I am so happy I registered for this course and have received my accreditation, and I cannot wait to put what I have learned into practice. The meaning of "The world is your oyster" couldn't be more relevant! For anyone who is thinking about teaching abroad then I would highly recommend registering for the Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs) with The TEFL Academy. I was really pleased with the value and overall quality of the course along with the recognised accreditation that comes on successful completion.”

“I really enjoyed the Level 5 168 hours course. In the online units there were little tasks and activities that helped me to learn and remember the new terminology. The assignment instructions were well explained and thorough, they gave a full idea of lesson planning and how I would explain concepts to students.”

“I completed the Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hours) and have to say it's an amazing course to complete. It was more detailed and involved than my English Literature Degree, but I thoroughly enjoyed every section of it. I know that every single one of my brain cells was used and that is purely due to the course being of such high quality. It genuinely made me think about how and why I would teach certain topics, and stretched my own understanding of the English Language - and English is my native language! Highly recommended for anyone wanting to teach the English language, either in the UK or abroad.”

Having been out of practice with studying I was a little worried how I would fare, but the units were really encgaging an informative and the feedback provided post assignment was really useful and quick. “This is a course capable of turning a complete beginner into a confident teacher capable of running a fun and engaging lesson. When I signed up for the level 5 168 hour course I was worried about the field being out of my depth, considering I detested English in school. The course content is well arranged, the tutors are very friendly and approachable and the general interface is very, very welcoming. With that said, I completed the course with a huge interest in teaching and a fascination for language itself. Feeling confident and excited for what is to come, I can say that the time spent studying this course has been so much more satisfying than my four year degree in dentistry. I would recommend The TEFL Academy for anybody who is fed up with their career and/or unhappy with the academic path they've tied themselves to. This is more than your standard 120 hour course, not to mention that it's certified by a reputable board.”

“After finishing 2-year contract to teach science at a local secondary school last summer, I decided to have a break and refresh my teaching skills in English which would be helpful when I give tutoring lessons to young learners who need support in both science (maths) and English. Meanwhile the methods and pedagogy used in TEFL courses could also be adopted to teach Mandarin to my children. I spent a few days reviewing a number of online course providers and was drawn by the detailed factual contents on The TEFL Academy’s website. Straight away I made my decision to pursue the 6-month course with The TEFL Academy. I opted for the online version of Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hours) as I felt comfortable even without any classroom training as I had been teaching recently in high school with lots of classroom practice. If my address could be close to one of the locations for the 2-day weekend TEFL classroom training, I would have selected the Combined Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hours). The course contents were well structured with clear instructions and FAQs as guidelines. The theoretical and practical sessions were taught along each other as a holistic approach, followed by self-evaluated end-of-unit tests and three assessed assignments which were very interesting and challenging. The feedback from TEFL tutors was on-time, meticulous and encouraging with professional advice and recommendations. The whole set of user-friendly tutorials was very suitable for asynchronous online learning, provided with a structured timetable for self study. On one occasion I needed a little support to send the two authentic texts that I accidentally forgot to attach with other files in Assignment 2. The Student Support team provided prompt response to my enquiry via telephone to help me upload the two documents. Overall the support services were really efficient and considerate to assist learners to complete their chosen courses within the given time scales. It was the first time I undertook an online course which gave me such a wonderful memory. In the beginning of this month I completed the Online Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hours) and passed with a distinction. I would definitely recommend the Online or Combined Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hours) from The TEFL Academy to any adults who want to expand their career options and develop skills to teach English as a foreign language.”

“I have just finished my TEFL 168 hrs on line course. The course was very good with lots of information and the on line portal was easy to follow. The course included short tests throughout and three assignments which must be completed and graded. These were not easy, but to be expected at this level. Feedback from the assessors after every assignment was very helpful and I would definitely recommend the course.”

“Taking the Level 5 Tefl course (168 hours) with Tefl academy has been overwhelmingly positive for me. The weekend enrolment was very positive, high vibe, helpful and was great to get to meet many enthusiastic new people. The online course was just right for me. Having dropped out of university twice, this online course has met my needs and allowed me to gain an academic qualification in my own time going at my own pace.
