“In their Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs), the TEFL Academy have provided a rigorous, challenging, in-depth and very satisfying course . It requires a degree of self-discipline and effort to complete, but that effort will be thoroughly rewarded. The assignment markers provide really good feedback and a weekend of classroom teaching is included. I cannot think how the TEFL Academy are able to provide a course of this quality for the price and I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of gaining a qualification in this area.”

“I am very happy that I took this course. It let me study at my own pace, go back to any unit I needed if I forgot something, stop where I wanted and spend more time on material that was more difficult for me. Content was interesting and presented in a clear and interesting manner. In order to finish and receive my certificate I had to write three demanding assignments. This made me feel like I put a lot of effort and used freshly gained knowledge right away. Also, all assignments were checked individually and I received a thorough description of what was good and what was wrong. In case of any troubles, customer service is available, and they respond very quickly and in a caring and professional manner. Overall it was a great experience and I'm sure it prepared me well for the role of English teacher. Definitely a worthy investment!”

“I have recently completed my 168 hours TEFL course. This course has built both my knowledge and skills. I feel confident in everything I plan, teach and work collaboratively with my colleagues. The 20-hour classroom is highly recommended as it is an overview of the entire course. I would suggest booking in the middle of the course after completing the minimum 4 assignments. Thank you to TEFL for providing me a well-recognised qualification straight after my last assignment was graded. I still need to take a free top-up course offered by TEFL Academy. Thank you.”

“I completed the 168 TEFL Online course this year (2019). I found the course challenging and interesting. One of my biggest hurdles was doing the entire course online without any human interaction, it may seem a little daunting but it is completely manageable as there is tutor feedback when you do the assignments. The course being entirely online also makes it very affordable which I'm grateful for.”

“My TEFL journey started in July. Time flew and I thought I would not complete it but I DID. And I am now TEFL qualified. I am impressed with the TEFL staff who responded quickly to my many queries. The course was enjoyable, the assignments challenging (and different to what I am used to) but I would definitely recommend this course to family and friends.”

“I undertook the Level 5 (168 hrs) TEFL course. The course is both extremely well structured and highly informative and it provides a solid platform for anyone who has no prior teaching experience, to embark on a career teaching English as a foreign language. The course is largely based on the inductive teaching methodology. The premise of the inductive teaching methodology is to put the target language (ie English) in context and to elicit answers and discussion from the student/s such that they guide themselves to the discovery of the rule/s of the language. When the rule/s, which is the subject of the lesson, is ultimately introduced and explained by the teacher, the student/s can make an obvious and clear connection between the rule and the preceding discussion. Studies have shown that this methodology is the most effective for teaching/learning a new language. The course gives one a good understanding of this methodology enabling those who complete and pass the course to become effective English teachers. I have no hesitation in recommending the course to anyone embarking on a TEFL career.”

“I can't believe I did it! I was worried that I wouldn't make it past the exams where I'm asked to do teacher work but I managed somehow because of the feedback I got that helped me get better and better. I can safely say I've been given a solid foundation on which I can start my teaching career. I wished there was an actual teaching experience included to see how I'd do included in the online course though. But other than that, the material was well oragnised, there were tons of exercises and the exams did challenge your abilities to see what you can do. Not to mention that any question I had was quickly answered. I liked this course.”

“The TEFL Academy provides a course that is both comprehensive and enjoyable. There is a feature that lets you track you progress which adds an element of enjoyment to see how you are getting on. The modules combine assessments and exams that check your understanding, whilst tasks support understanding during learning the module material. Overall I would give this course 9/10.”

“I studied the Level 5 TEFL-Course (168 hrs) at the TEFL-academy. I feel that the course covered all the aspects that teaching may encounter. The course is well planned and presented. I learnt some new teaching skills and revived some old ones. The training and support was excellent! Thank you for opening a few doors for me!”
