I had taught English before starting the course, but I really wanted to grow in my teaching skills and knowledge of how to teach English. I also felt that having a TEFL qualification would give me an edge in the job market. So I registered for the course, based on a recommendation from a friend. I am really happy with my decision! It's reputable, which was really important to me. No one wants to invest time, money and effort in anything that's not of great quality! It was also great value for money, as it's equivalent to the CELTA/Trinity TESOL certificate course level. I learned lots of things about teaching English that I didn't know before, and the end of course tests really helped me to recall and apply what I learned to the questions. The assignments helped me to further develop these skills, as I spent hours trying to ensure that I did what was required - I just wanted to do my best! I would highly recommend this TEFL course! “I started the TEFL Academy course in September 2017 with a lot of enthusiasm to finish as soon as possible and applying for a teaching job in China. Although I was still studying for the online course, the recruiters from China accepted already my first certificate that I got for attending 20 hours classroom TEFL course. So, you can apply for an English teacher position while you are still taking the online course in order to take the second certificate for 100 online TEFL course. But meanwhile, my plans changed and I postponed my departure to China. The TEFL online course is well focused on helping you to design an interesting English class during which time students cannot get bored. Planning an English class is more difficult than I first thought, but the well structured modules helps you gradually to understand the stages which you have to consider and the students' skills which you want to improve. Moreover, while you are doing the well focused activities from every module, you have the chance to review for yourself a lot of aspects related to grammar, pronunciation and so on. This is real helpful especially for non-native English speakers, like me, who want to go and teach abroad. It was a really nice experience and I strongly recommend it for you too. Thank you!”

Firstly, the content was seperated into manageable parts with plenty of useful activities and extra reading provided. Some of the modules are challenging, but as a new teacher I believe I am now far more prepared to face a class. Secondly, the 20 hour practical class helps to gain extra confidence and talk to experienced teachers about the challenges involved in this profession. Finally, the end of course assignments really help you understand how to cater for the needs of specific students. “The course structure was strange at first but once u got to know the basics the rest is straight forward. Its design was thought out very well and I like the fact the modules were not as easy as people made out. “I loved studying 120 hours with TEFL academy. The e-learning platform was easy to navigate with a clear design, good functionality, and great content - very informative and relevant. Every time I had a problem, the TEFL staff were very swift and helpful, I felt very cared for. Although I was good with language and grammar in school, I never thought of teaching English. Coming from a Fine Art background I was advised at the end of my degree to go onto a PGCE programme that would be topped up into a Master, but looking closely into the curriculum I decided against because of the amount of paper work and unrelated supplementary work that was expected of you. TEFL proved to be a much better choice to pursue in order to enter the teaching world. TEFL seemed so logical and straight forward, and it hooked me immediately. When I did my 20 hours class practice, I was immensely impressed by my tutor professionalism and language knowledge. He will remain a role model for me in my future teaching career. He was truly leading through his outstanding example, and we were all very inspired in the class. I left that weekend feeling lucky that I joined TEFL, and that helped me a lot when I continued working on my course. It made me think, if my tutor became like this because of TEFL, then this is the path I should definitely stick with, and hopefully inspire others. Coming to the end of my TEFL course saddened me in a way, because I was so used to access and use the Academy e-learning platform, and I know that shortly I will not be able to do it anymore. However, I am happy and delighted to graduate and go in the world and teach. I really hope that my teaching techniques I achieve with TEFL will help and impress my future students as much as TEFL Academy impressed me. Many thanks, and I will not hesitate to recommend this program to anyone whom is wishing to teach English as a foreign language!”
