“Great to find a UK supplier of kilos. Having lived in Kenya and Tanzania they have always been part of wardrobe. Going to order more for family members.”

“The build quality is fantastic, the inner pocket was a nice surprise and the speed of delivery was another huge bonus. It is currently packed into my hand luggage as is heading to Sardinia! Thank you so much! I’m going to get a lot of brownie points for this!”

“My kikoy came quickly and is of good quality. After a wash the weave tightened and all gaps disappeared. That being said I got an orange kikoy and it is a bit see through, so I can’t make shorts out of it like I planned, but will keep it any way as it is so nice.”

“Having lived in Kenya, having used a kikoy daily since 1984 i was delighted to find a UK website to replace mine with the real deal, complete with tied tassles and a great choice of colours and patterns, keep up the good work, i'll be back !”

“Having visited Kenya a number of times in the 90s and bought kikoys, I was delighted to find the Pink Gecko selling original Kenyan kikoys at a very reasonable price. Over the years, The Pink Gecko has given me outstanding service and I would thoroughly recommend all their products to anyone who wants the genuine article. I've bought kikoys, kikoy towels and Quilted Indian Tote Bags. All of them have been as described on the website and the lovely thing about kikoys is that they have many uses: wraparounds, table cloths, temporary curtains, carriers (if you don't have a bag you can make a sling) and two sewn together make a great kaftan. I never travel without one!”

“I was really pleased to find The Pink Gecko and beautiful selection of Kikoy’s they stock. Jo was great with friendly helpful communication and organising fast postage which was much appreciated in time for my holiday! Great to support small businesses and have direct contact with the owners, very rare these days! A great easy purchase!”

“The website was a great find. I knew I wanted a kikoy because I wanted quality cotton beach sheets. The quality is very good with a great choice of colours. Plus the four towels were despatched swiftly and arrived in good condition. Thank you.”

“My first order with The Pink Gecko, but it certainly won't be my last. Navigation of the online site was clear and very user friendly. The order arrived the next day and I was delighted with the quality and appearance of the kikoy I had chosen. My only problem will be deciding which colourway to order next.”

“Gorgeous towel, super soft on oneside and beautiful design on the other, a real rich colour. So useful for after swimming and slim enough to not take too much room in your beach bag!”
