“Absolutely fantastic kits. Good service and delivery times. My husband is a curry fiend and loves cooking. So pleased we found Tastesmiths as we just buy from them now. Brilliantly thought our kits with the ingredients you need so it stops you having to buy loads of ingredients from the supermarket and then left with stuff in your fridge or cupboard that wouldn't last. “I made the Indian Feast last weekend, the bhajis were good. The curry was too mild and quite bland, thought I had been a bit wimpy on the chillies. Made tex mex chilli tonight. I put all the chillies in. The chilli paste looked like it should be fierce, but sadly again it was a disappointment. They look amazing in the packet but I'm not sure what I've done wrong. I have bought loads so hopefully if my husband has a go it would be better but I can't see how.”

“I bought the 8 variety pack.so far we have cooked the makani and balti. Lots if fun to prepare and awesome taste. The makani is exceptionally good with a lovely sweet exotic taste, be careful not to use too many chillies as they pack a real punch, so far so good. Loving the concept”

“The recipes are lovely but the content given is just the spices. So for mr this was to simple and I wouldn’t buy again. I feel for me I can get the recipe online and buy the spices.”

Hi Nikki, thanks for taking the time to leave a review. As well as the spices (which we grind and blend ourselves) we provide the fresh ingredients along with a recipe in correct portions for a hearty meal without waste. Often to cook a curry more ingredients need to be bought than will be used resulting in leftover fresh ingredients or spices to store away in the cupboard. Of course this isn't a problem if you're cooking a curry often, in which case we salute you! Sam, hello@tastesmiths.com

“I had been looking at tastesmiths for a while and decided to order the 6 packs for £20. My partner if a curry fan but doesn’t rate any takeaways in our area. Well we both loved them and will definitely be placing many more orders in the future. Easy to understand instructions and amazing and flavoursome food. “Excellent spices. But very short "best before" dates. I ordered 8 kits, but ended up using 2 and throwing away 6. Entirely my fault for not realising the fresh ingredients would go rotten so quickly - but there really is little point in buying 8 kits at a time unless you eat curry every day.”

Hello! Sorry to hear you had to waste some of your order. Our kits are fine to freeze and perform perfectly well directly from the freezer, this is mentioned on our website (tastesmiths.com/help) and on the back of the kits which shows the best before date.
