“I have been delighted with these mixes. They are exciting to open and use as well as making the food taste absolutely delicious! The ingredients are varied and plentiful. I love seeing what is in the pack! A bonus is the fact that they can be frozen and used when I want. Also very low cost against a bought dish as they serve at least 3 and sometimes 4 and taste just as good if not better! Highly recommended”

“Great ingredients,east step by step instructions which culminates in a beautiful curry. My only negative comment is you have to purchase the meat and additional rice that goes with each dish. Otherwise good buy!”

“The kits are OK but are very labour intensive. It would be better to have an alternative coconut source rather than the block. Preparing the chillies for the chilli con carne was too involved. I don’t think the food tastes any better than other quicker kits. They are certainly not to be used on a school night and would be better suited to a retired person that wanted a way to fill their time. Also they are very expensive for what they are as they are padded out with cheap ingredients like ginger, garlic and chillies. I won’t be buying again.”

Sorry to read that you didn't enjoy cooking with us. Our kits are sold as 'scratch cooking kits' and we do guide our customers through the full process - one which will be quicker after cooking a few of them. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review here,

“Bought these as a b'day present for my partner who loves his currys and am thoroughly enjoying the outcome. So easy to prepare without having to buy all the fiddly bits. Would defo recommend to friends and family.”

Hi Pamela, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review here! Our kits are advertised as 'scratch cooking with fresh ingredients' so unfortunately are a little time consuming and limited in their shelf life - generally we hear that the results are fully worth these limitations. for future reference, our kits can be frozen and perform perfectly well straight from the freezer.

“We ordered six kits - tikka masala, Balti and makhani. They were all lovely but especially liked the Balti although Makhani was a favourite of my teenage daughter. Much better than the shop bought jars and very simple to make. Have just reordered another six as Saturday night is now Tastesmiths night!”

“Authentic taste, so pleased I discovered you 😀 I live in Germany and the curries arrived 2 weeks before their best before date so won't need to freeze them all. Have previously frozen some before use and the taste is still amazing.........A big thankyou to the Tastesmith team xxx”
