“We have been using curry kits from other sources for a number of years. Our first try with tastesmiths was the Goan, with pilau rice adding raw king prawns and salmon. There is a bit of work, as other reviewers have mentioned, but the results were superb! The curry had a real depth of flavour, whilst the rice was perfect. I cannot imagine ever eating "normal" rice with a curry again.”

“Ordered 6 packs. Have tried 3. All have been great. The instructions could be a little clearer so read carefully in advance (make it clearer which chillies are which). Will be ordering more!!!”

“Brilliant idea and a brilliant purchase. I like everything about it. The packaging, the convenience, the sheer genius of removable recipe cards for later, that you can freeze them all for later. Fresh, tasty, quick, value for money. I love them”

“Had 2 of the curries so far and found them both very tasty with good cooking instructions ! Also had the onion Bahji mix which I was a little disappointed with , felt it was lacking in flavour but would definitely buy the curries again”

“Amazing! Best tasting curries ever. I’m working my way through them all! Goan fish is our current fav but we love them all. Best thing if all - no waste! You always get exactly what you need.”

“Having tried 2 of the 4 main meal packs I bought I am delighted so far. We tried the makhani curry and the jwrk marinade, both of qqhich tasted very authentic and delicious”

“Purchased Korma & Balti. Fresh ingredients including ginger root, garlic corms and green Chili’s. Addition of chili’s can influence how hot your curry is. My wife can only tolerate Korma, but I cooked it without chili’s, the cocunut & crushed almonds added to the smooth mild flavor. I had the Balti curry again I don’t like them too hot so just had one pierced chilli in the curry. Instructions fairly straight forward to follow. Both currys tasted nice. My wife enjoyed the Korma & I enjoyed The Balti the use of fresh chilli seems to make the curry tasteful without being too hot. All in all an interesting experience yielding a tasty outcome”

“I think I’ve used 3 kits now and I’ve enjoyed them all , but i did the Goan fish curry today and it’s one of the best balanced curries I’ve ever had and I’ve been making curry for 40 years”

“Royal Mail tried to deliver but no one was in, they took it back to main depot which is 7 miles away for me to collect, Royal.Mail are unbelievable cannot deliver the next day, I haven't travelled the 7 miles to pick up delivery so I can only base my experience on Royal Mail rather than Tastesmiths, I have emailed Tastesmiths customer service.”

“I have only cooked 2 of the curries of the eight I bought. We were impressed with the taste however, for the spices received I would say in my opinion a little overpriced. As 90% of the contents we would have in our cupboards. Thank you anyway on the night I cooked the 2 they were enjoyed.”

“I was a little apprehensive when my kits came because I had misread the ad, believing the product to be a sauce. But it worked very well, with clear and concise instructions. The result of the one I cooked so far (Goan Fish Curry) was excellent, and such a relief from the cumin-overloaded sauces we've tried and rejected before. And the cupboards and fridge aren't bulging with the 90% of fresh nutmeg, curry leaves etc which would have been the case if I'd bought just to a recipe. Highly recommended.”

“Did the Goan prawn curry a few day's ago. It was beautiful. Jerk chicken currently marinading in the fridge for the hubby. Excellent packs of perfect ingredients 👌”
