“The cottage was warm and cosy. However, the radiators need bleeding. The crockery in the kitchen all over the place. The curtain over the front door looks as if it’s going to fall down soon”

“We have just spent two weeks in this lovely cottage.
Very close to the centre of pretty Helmsley we were spoilt for choice with places to visit and also for places to enjoy beautiful locally sourced food.
The cottage is very cosy with a country cottage feel. The kitchen is well equipped if you get fed up with the local eateries and the lounge is comfortable to relax in the evenings. The weather was very warm and sunny so we made use of the pretty garden and garden furniture after days spent walking and exploring.
As mentioned by a previous reviewer there is a huge lack of space for clothes storage. Only one wardrobe for three bedrooms, although there are hooks for coat hangers in the other two rooms. Some drawers would be helpful although I understand that space is limited.
The owner is very responsive and friendly online and answered a question from us very quickly. Thank you for the basket of goodies that were left for us. They were much appreciated.”
“This is a very deceptive property, a bit like a TARDIS, where you you open the front doors and it just goes on and on.Spacious sunny front room ,a great sized middle room if you want a bit of quiet or somewhere for children. Well equipped kitchen diner, everything you need is there for self catering. There are two great sized double rooms , the bed we used was very comfy, and a good sized twin bedded room at the rear.
If you have a dog there is a very secure back yard with a seating area.”

“My wife and I stayed in a fantastic apartment in Tenby it was everything Sykes cottages said it was on there Web site. They sent me all the relevant information about keys 🔑 and they even sent me a reminder about the date we were going.”

so didn't like the steps down to the property and the kitchen floor was very uneven and the parking left a bit to be desired as other people kept using our space outside the property. Unfortunately the weather wasn't very good the week we were there but we enjoyed the break”

Great location. Excellent parking. Everything has been thoughtfully provided. The only slight niggle is the bathroom fan which takes forever to switch off. OK during the not so at night. I recognise the owner provided flash lights.”
