“Cottage was lovely for our family of 8 adults and 2 children.It was situated in a quiet position just outside Appleby.Everything was clean and kitchen was well equipped.The only downside was that a couple of the bedrooms were very cold but it would not stop us booking again.”
“Lovely, cosy cottage. Very well equipped and pretty much spotless. Great location for exploring the estuary and handy for Exeter. Lympstone itself is a very pretty village. Not a criticism, but front door and porch door would benefit from attention. Only reason holding back from 5 stars is the price, particularly for 3 nights.”

“We loved our winter stay at Seaview. The lounge and bedrooms are very cosy and comfortable. The conservatory was a lovely place to eat breakfast and look at the view and the birds. There’s a lovely big garden for the summer. It’s a short walk on to the moors with stunning views over Newport. And Newport itself is only half an hour walk, although the hill back is quite steep and at this time of year it was too muddy to do in the dark with my elderly parents, but fine in the day.
Top tips:
- A log fire ‘starter’ kit with kindling and fire lighters is provided but you need to buy logs which are easy to get from the garage in Dinas or Spar in Newport.
- Take a laptop and HDMI cable with you as we couldn’t get iPlayer or Netflix to work on the FreeSat TV.”

“Great getaway, second time we have stayed here and won't be the last, balcony overlooking Windermere, first class accomodation, 20 seconds from ferry, however ferry stops around 10 pm, so if you are staying out late in Windermere, it's a long drive around, the ferry is a 10 minute crossing. Would highly recommend.
