“I recently completed the Level 3 Management and Leadership course with Strive Training, and I can honestly say it exceeded my expectations. Although the course was intensive, it was extremely engaging and well-structured throughout. The handouts provided were clear, concise, and packed with practical information that I can already see being useful in real-life workplace scenarios and future roles.
Our tutor, Connie, was outstanding—she brought energy, clarity, and encouragement to every session. One of the most valuable aspects was how she guided us through small group projects from the course portfolio. Working in these teams helped us apply the material collaboratively, practice leadership and delegation in a hands-on way, and gain different perspectives from our peers. It really brought the content to life and strengthened both our confidence and understanding.
Connie also gave consistent, constructive feedback and encouraged critical thinking while creating a supportive, open learning environment.

“I thought the course was excellent. Our tutor was very willing to share his knowledge and his feedback was always useful. There was lots of variety over the five days, with online sessions, videos and a guest speaker who was very helpful and shared their knowledge of working for the Civil Service. “My strive training was well structured and my trainer (Steve) was obviously knowledgeable and experienced on the cause matter.
We were supported by the wider strive training team and it was easy to resolve a couple of small technical issues I had.
A very enjoyable course which I feel I have gained valuable information and insight from.
I believe the rest of the group would give similar answers. As it was clear that we were all supported to achieve the best level of understanding.
We were all encouraged to participate and it was clear that we all had equal access to the full range of the course.
The biggest positive I took away is a greater confidence in the skills needed for applying and obtaining my next job role.

“Honestly, that Civil Service Employability course was a real eye-opener! I went in feeling a bit lost about the whole Civil Service application thing, but I came out feeling genuinely empowered and believe I have a shot at landing a job. It wasn't just dry information either, they broke down everything from finding the right roles to figuring out those tricky application forms and even what to expect in the tests. I feel so much clearer on the whole process now. Plus, they gave us some really useful tips on making our CV's and cover letters stand out, and I feel confident about going into interviews now, which is a huge win for me!
Trina, the person who ran the course, was just fantastic. She had this way of explaining everything that just clicked. She got it that it can all feel a bit overwhelming, and she just made it so much easier to understand. She was super encouraging and gave loads of practical advice that you could use.
