Very poor service from this company and wish I had never used them. We ordered a satin glass splashback colour matched to our wall colour (Misty Morning). Having received the glass it was clear they had painted it the wrong colour as it didn't match our wall colour at all. We made contact with the company and issued images of the glass panel in place against the wall colour detailing the mistake but they responded asking for the panel to be placed in natural light against the manufacturer paint chart (see attached image). Once submitted they discounted this image stating they thought it was the same when you cross reference between several of the photos I issued. The image against the colour chart in my opinion shows they have accidently used the paint colour Ilusion and not Misty Morning as ordered. I understand its an easy to make mistakes but the nasty responses from this company are well below an acceptable standard. I initially went onto their website to post a review so other people could be warned about this company but I found they only allow reviews from customers they choose and I wasn't allowed to post a review. (Please see screen shot after trying to review) I made a personal request to the review company to be able to post a fair review of my experience after submitting proof of trading with this company. Do not trust this company!! I am currently reviewing a course of action with trading standards.

Hi, The photo of the colour I am currently approving. We colour match and customers pick a paint colour as a guide. I honestly do not understand how this is an error, it looks like a colour match to me. It will never look the same on glass as it does on your wall due to them being different materials that reflect light differently - but the complaint about colour is not valid here, this is a harsh review and again we are baffled how you think the colour is 'completely different'.

Sorry, I also meant to add - we can't stop anyone from leaving a review. It's a public platform and anyone that has ordered can easily leave a review. We have replied to you over 5 times regarding this complaint repeating the same message. The colour match is to Misty Morning and the colour MATCH is completely fine and passed our quality checks. The photo in my opinion is a good also shows a good colour match, I honestly don't know how you see this as extremely different.

Order not fulfilled after eleven weeks We placed an order just short of £400 with splashbacks uk on the 23rd of June 2020. Their delivery policy is 6 weeks on the product we ordered. Even allowing for COVID it has now been eleven weeks. We were sent a form email saying they have problems with the printer getting ink and when we email asking for more detail as to when the order would be fulfilled, no reply We have asked for our money back and again no reply, but after an extended period, we received an email saying our order was now in QA and they would not give a refund. That was two or more weeks ago. Quality assuring a sheet of printed glass takes minutes not weeks. I have now come to the opinion they have no intention of fulfilling the order, possibly along with many other customers, just do the maths. I have now referred them to trading standard. Caution this is not splashback.co.uk but splashbacksuk.com who are a different company

We have been in touch many times regards the delays on printed orders. Unfortunately, the delays have been beyond our control, this is not an excuse it is a reason. We had major delays with importing ink and toner for the printer and we also had issues with a huge increase in sales, as most people at home turned to diy projects. We have stayed in touch with customers as best possible, but we are a small company, so a few staff off on furlough or having to isolate has a huge impact on our time frames as we make everything bespoke. We have apologized several times to Mr Boland and offered him discount or money back, beyond that what more can we do. The situation at present is having more of an impact than we predicated and we are doing all we can with limited staff to try and get through it. Some people are in this together, and some I guess are not. I am sorry you felt the need to leave such a bad review. I am not sure what the reference to another company at the end of this review is in regards to, we don't pretend to anything but splashbacksUk.

I’ll keep this simple. Ordered a ‘wild lime’ (a shade of green) splashback and received an sickly ‘off-yellow’ alternative......not at all similar to the colour as shown on their website. Company are refusing to provide colour coding info (in order for me to formally check) and instead have tried blaming my iPad/computer screen for shading variations. I’ve attached a photo for you to draw your own conclusions. Their website is the left hand image, what we’ve received is on the right. Be advised! We are now going to proceed with trading standards.

Hello Betty, We are sorry that you do not like the colour of your splashback. We do offer a service of colour matching to any paint brand such as Dulux, Crown, Ral etc.... and we also provide samples for customers to view our stock colour range before placing a larger order. We do the best to represent the colour online - though some screen resolutions are different and also there is the factor of natural light in the kitchen setting that can make the splashback appear darker or lighter in shade of the splashback. There are extra images on the wildlime page to show this colour in different settings and you will see that it does look slightly different in tone depending on the surrounding colours and lighting. Our Wild Lime colour is a yellow-green and we have sold this product many times without complaint. It is not a Dulux or Ral code - therefore there is no colour code to give you - it is from our own colour range. We have offered you a cost price replacement for you order a different colour and that is still open to you but we can not replace an order free of charge that has been delivered correctly.

Looking back at the whole experience, I would not recommend this company. Firstly the delivery was delayed far beyond what they advised and only after chasing them repeatedly. On first appearance, the grey mirrored splashbacks looked fine and they do look great on the wall, but after I (very, very carefully) installed them with our kitchen fitter, we noticed some surface scratches in two of the three glass panels that we had ordered, one if which is quite deep and can be felt if you run your mail across it. Obviously we did not see these scratches before we stuck them to the wall with adhesive and there is absolutely no way that we did this whilst installing them. You would have to do something pretty aggressively with a sharp tool to create the scratch that is present. The scratch was caused before they dispatched the panels from their premises, no question. I tried to inform Splashbacks UK and it was a nightmare trying to get old of someone. Eventually after weeks of chasing and messaging them through their website, someone got back to me saying that because I had already installed them, they could not do anything and the only solution they gave me, was to purchase car windscreen polishing kit off Amazon to try and polish the scratches out. Thanks, very helpful! Now, a vertical crack in the bottom corner of the end panel which is about 2 inches high has appeared. This has not been caused by any accidental impact, therefore I assume that the panel had an inherent weakness that has now come out. I have emailed SplashbacksUK again about his, but no doubt they will come up with some cock an bull story to explain why it has happened and of course why it won’t be any fault of theirs and no doubt it will take them weeks, if not months, to get back to me. Oh, in addition, week ago I ordered an additional small fill piece to go underneath the extractor opening which is 600x200mm. This has still not been delivered, but I am intrigued to see if it arrives without it looking like it was manufactured and packaged up at their premises by Edward Scissor Hands. Also don’t try calling them, no one ever answers the phone. If you want my advice, don’t waste your time ordering delicate finishing products such as glass splashbacks from companies like SplashbacksUK off the internet. Go to a local glass specialist and get them to correctly measure, manufacture and fit the glass splashback. It may cost a little bit more, but my god I wish I had don’t this.

Hello, Thanks for the feedback. Although, we don't know who you are or what order this applies to. We are not aware of anything along these lines. We are a supply only website and we take great care and expense with our packaging to make sure our orders arrive in perfect condition. Are you sure you have left a review with the correct company?

The image print that we received for approval before printing was not very helpful in determining what the final product would look like. As a result, we are now stuck with a splashback that we do not like. Since the images provided for review are not accurate, Splashbacks UK should consider amending their policy for returns and amendments. Overall, a very bad experience.

We at Splashbacks are sorry you do not like the print pattern chosen. We were unaware that you were unhappy with the print. If you wish to get in touch with us directly we can of course try and resolve this for you as best possible. We have the image prints online and also an image gallery to try and give the best representation of the product, but we do appreciate it can be difficult when computer resolutions/colours and backlighting on screens can make the image look different compared to the actual print. Our print quality is the best available, from your review we understand it is just the image that you do not like? We would not want you to be stuck with an image you do not like, we can certainly get you a replacement in a different image for a discount cost. Just get in touch.

Very poor product and customer service. The advert for the product says the splashback is toughened this is not the case and upon the splashback cracking under heat they will not replace it or issue a refund. Products not as described, and having to go through trading standards and small claims court to obtain my money back. In addition had to wait 4 weeks for the product which to me seems a long time and now it doesn’t even work. Very poor attitude told me it’s my fault the splashback is cracked even though it’s described as toughened and it isn’t, they want me to buy another one!

Hello, In response to this complaint, we did apologise and refund this customer. They were obviously very upset that the mirror glass was not toughened. It does state on our website on the mirror order pages that the mirror is not toughened but they had not spotted that in the description of the product. The advert online had stated incorrectly that the mirror was toughened and for this reason the customer was refunded and given an apology. We did not ask the customer to pay for a replacement. We had indicated that if they wanted a reorder in a coloured or printed toughened glass that there would be a difference in the cost compared to that paid for the mirror. They did not have to go through small claims court this is untrue. We also did not state that it was their fault the mirror cracked, it cracked because it is not toughened.

Firstly I am yet to receive my splash back. Secondly, I have mentioned this in an email, the lack of communication makes it very hard to get things organised. My kitchen fitter is having to wait on me to get him to come and fit the splash back in order to complete the last bit of tiling. As I said in the email, a rough idea of delivery at the point of order would be helpful. I had to email to chase up my order which, when I finally got a response, said it should be with the courier within two days. A week later, after hearing nothing, I emailed again to be told it had not passed quality control and needed redoing. I appreciate your desire to get everything right, but letting me know it would be a longer wait would be reassuring. As well as a common courtesy. I fully expect I will get a good quality product at some point - I still don’t know when. I do, however, feel that customer care/relations could be improved massively.

Avoid this company. Absolutely no after sales customer service. Hid behind stringent terms and conditions rather than providing any customer service. Literally took my money and ran! I placed an order - date for delivery was due to be after my holiday. They ended up delivering whilst I was on holiday. Builder took receipt and carefully put on our dining table where is sat in its original packaging until we got home. When we got home we opened it (the packaging was all in tact) and were disappointed to find a number of scratches on it. I called and left a message on their voicemail and emailed within 24 hours of opening. There was no response. It transpires they were on Easter shutdown but there was no message on their voicemail to say this, no out of office on their email or any message on their website. I eventually had a response to tell me that in line with their terms and conditions they were not liable for any damage found if not reported within 24 hours of receipt. I explained that I had notified them of the damage within 24 hours of me opening it but they were not interested however did offer me a pot of paint that apparently resolves 90% of issues. The estimated date of delivery had been the week I would have been back from holiday, they sent me an email on the afternoon they despatched it to say that they were despatching it. I hadn't seen this as was packing for the holiday and then went - I was on holiday in an area with no wifi but even if I had of seen it I would suspect it would have been too late to stop despatch as the courier would have collected it. I believe they were rushing to get orders out before their Easter break and somehow I have paid the penalty for their rush job which really doesn't sit right with me. We asked for the paint as could see they were not budging but that didn't arrive. A week later we were told they would arrange to send another one. So another week goes by and eventually the pot arrived. I hurriedly went out to buy a little brush so my husband could finally attempt the repair in the evening. To our horror when he opened it, it was all dried up! By this point we had been waiting nearly a month for a resolution- my husband called and said this was unacceptable and we would like a refund. Lee-Ann, the owner again quoted her terms and conditions and when my husband suggested we may take legal advice she said this had happened lots of times before but her terms and conditions mean that they are not liable. It was becoming more apparent that this is their business model. Customer service is not a feature. They send out goods - if there is anything wrong they don't care as they have your money and know that their terms and conditions have been put to the test "lots" of times and they will not have to pay out! I asked Lee-Ann if she would consider a partial refund as a gesture of goodwill - terms and conditions were quoted again and how was she to know whether or not it was our builder that scratched it. Whatever happened to the customer is always right! She did say she would send another pot of paint. Guess what, it arrived and wasn't completely dried out but was so congealed it wouldn't even go on the brush let alone spread to paint with. So now over a month, no splashback up in our beautiful new kitchen and still no further forward with a resolution. We spoke with our VISA company who were so appalled at the situation but confirmed that the terms and conditions were stringent enough to prevent a claim. We spoke to another splashback supplier during this time for their opinion and they said that given the circumstance they would have replaced the splashback. They were the ones that confirmed the paint pot was dried up and originally we thought we might need to add water or something. We have now had to cut our losses and have ordered a new splashback from him. In the meantime, when I suggested to Lee-Ann that hopefully this was " just one of those jobs" that has gone wrong and that I hoped it wasn't an example of how they usually did business she sent me an email to say, I quote ' I do think the tester pot has arrived and is fine'. She went onto to say ' I would offer to send you another pot-but I have no doubt you will say there is something wrong with that also'!! She basically insinuated I was a lier and there was never once has she apologised for all the things that have gone wrong. Do yourself a very big favour and avoid this company!

As was mentioned in this customers review - I feel that the response is best from myself. The order was a very straight forward situation. The order was placed on 17th March for a coloured glass splashback. As standard we emailed through the purchase invoice along with a production email to give an estimated date of dispatch. Coloured glass usually takes around 3 weeks and on the 10th April we shipped the product to this customer. We always give 2 days notice of delivery arriving. The customer confirmed they had seen the delivery email - but again did not contact us to let us know they were not there. This customer did not inform us they were on holiday. They called us 3 weeks later to say the glass was scratched. They confirmed they had not been there to receive the order but that their builder was there and had taken possession. We do state in the delivery email that we need to be contacted within 24 hours of receipt to let us know of any damage and we would certainly rectify. We are unable after this time frame to consider any remakes or refunds as we do not know what happened in the builders possession for those 3 weeks. The customer persistently asked for a refund along with stating 'the customer is always right' and I had to then go through the terms and conditions of shipping and delivery. After a few unpleasant emails and phone calls I did still try and help - we sent out 2 tester pots of paint to this customer for them to repair. They said twice that the paint was ruined when it arrived and constantly asked for a refund. We do try and deliver our product in time and also in perfect condition. If the customer had contacted us then we would have held the product until their return. With this being a very delicate product we do have terms and conditions in place for the safe receipt and delivery of the product but we do need customer co-operation in terms of letting us know if you can not take delivery or can not check.

Placed order on 14-11-16 no communication until I phoned on the 5-12-16 was told that we would receive the print proof by Friday the 9-12-16 did come so I sent email asking but before I received an answer the proof email arrived on 11-12-16 sent answer back the same day then I did receive an email stating I would get the item before Christmas It was not until after Christmas that I was told I would not get it ,I sent an email stating that I should have got that email before Christmas not after. I also requested that a manager contacted me this has not happened. In proventing you have the same bad experience that I have had Regards Peter c

Hello Peter, I am sorry you are unhappy with the service you received during the order. During November and December it is a very bust time and our lead times on the printer orders were taking around the full 5 weeks to manufacture - which is stated on order. I can see the email of complaint where you say you were told you would have the item before Christmas but we never give a definite dispatch date until the item is with quality control. Unfortunately our last dispatch date was 21st December and your order wasn't packaged before that date - we did ship at the next soonest available date which was the 4th January. I do understand you are frustrated but the delay was mostly due to ordering at a busy time of year and then the closure of courier and the main business over Christmas.
