“Comfortable length, soft material. Based on my experience using it for trail runs, it can be a bit uncomfortable when there is a lot of sweat absorption. Recommended for everyday running.”
“I was researching “the best running apparel” and came across Soar. While visiting London I visited their retail location. Picked up some shorts and hot weather shirts. The quality of materials and design is fantastic. I’ve been wearing the long shorts on our European vacation and they are the most comfortable shorts I’ve ever worn. Feels like I’m not wearing anything at all but still has support and pockets. Love it!”
“I quite enjoy the designs and fit, however for the premium pricing the brand is really lacking in many ways. The website while it looks modern and easy on the eyes, it is quite difficult to understand sizing. It's very sparse with information and which makes it difficult for first time buyers to figure out their right size. Since it is british sizing you must always size up. I'm confused how small brits are, but I am considered quite small in size and waist but I still have to size up to a medium to feel comfortable. For the price, everything arrives in such flimsy packaging. While I'm all for being green, at least show the customers that you care about your pieces you're sending us cause for the price I do not see it. It arrives in flimsy plastic covers and envelopes with loud Soar branding. Why not just announce that there's an expensive product inside the packaging so that it can be stolen? In this day and age, discreet robust packaging would be preferred by customers who can afford these... Are the products really that ground breaking (other than the nice designs - that other brands are almost surpassing) that you should charge what you're charging? I think for now I am enjoying the fad, but I've seen many brands come and go and I think Soar will be one of those that will eventually go in the coming 2-3 years max. There are too many brands to stay loyal or even continue buying Soar.
As an avid runner I am finding that other running brands are also starting to offer similar and even better quality products at the fraction of the price. For example, Bandit and Saysky while I can tell are following Soar's aesthetic are providing better quality products and customer experience.
Finally I would say that many of the Soar pieces I have bought thus far seem to be quite delicate. I feel that the life span of each piece would last 1-2 marathons max. The ones I have worn and tested so far have already started to look a bit too worn and cheap. These are not high performance products, these are fashion running pieces.
So a 3 star would probably make sense for this brand. I mean I would probably still buy some pieces now and then if I find a nice design, but I am not that impressed.
I feel like Tim Soar is a fast fashion designer trying, keyword "trying" to act like he understands runners and their technical needs.”
“The absolute worst customer service. Your “operations executive” Farid Sousou is an embrassment. Leaving customer service enquires unresponded indefinitely and when I follow up the response is “I’ll see what I can do” with zero additional follow up.”
Hi Michael,
We would like to apologise for this lack of follow up. If you reach out to us we would be more then happy to resolve this for you immediately.
“SOAR defines elegance in craft, pioneering material and beautiful tailoring in sportswear. Once you experience SOAR product it's hard to look elsewhere.”
“I always take running seriously, I've tried countless outfit, some are comfortable but out of style, some are stylish but hurts. Finally I found SOAR, it just feels right in term of comfort, performance and style.”
“Comfortable and lightweight but it’s the fit and shape that give all the soar shirts I’ve purchased that extra quality. Everything fits my body perfectly. I’ll be getting more.”
“Well made products but still difficult to justify price. Design is questionable due to material still soaking up and showing sweat more than a leading competitor that is also cheaper.”
“Easy to navigate site, easy to order. Stuff arrived when expected and in pristine conditions. Items are great. Can seem pricey compared to other sites, but id rather pay more for good quality i need once, than cheap buying multiple times. Would happily shop again.”
