“I thought I'd have to pay to have my old car taken away then I stumbled on scrapcarcomparison very helpful and got me a nice sum for my car they are friendly and don't push you into anything its your choice if you want to sell them your car or keep it at no point did I feel pressured into anything they phone you conferm that the details are correct then ask would price you have in mind and try to get as close to that figure as possible you don't have to except if your not happy I was and did I didn't get my original figure but very close they collected within 2days the money was in my account before the driver got in to drive away if I have another unwanted car I won't hesitate to use this site again fingers crossed I won't need to but who knows what the future holds the only thing I can be certain of is I'll use this site if necessary keep up the good work guys!”

“Very disappointing. When I rang to state that my car had 135000 miles on the clock instead of the 120000 I originally estimated, the money paid to me fell by more than 20% from £85 to £65. Why? What extra costs did you incur? There was half a tank of petrol in the car, worth over £20. No payment was made for this. Somebody at your premises will have used that gift of free fuel, I am certain!!”

Hi Derek, Sorry to hear that you were not happy with our service. We offer all our customers their highest possible prices based on the information that you provide us with. If a vehicle has considerably higher mileage than the customer has originally stated, our collection agents are entitled to renegotiate the price with you, regardless of the fuel level. In the case of scrapping a vehicle, the fuel must be treated as waste and is disposed of correctly, not reused, in order to prevent risk of fuel contamination.
