Returns/warranty claims is a FAFF! I had a £30 fan bearing go noisy/fail last week on my pc. I took a video which illustrated the exact issue, but was told that as per their process I need to send the fan in for them to “test” and once confirmed they would send me a replacement. That gives me a week without a fan, and means I need to take my pc apart twice rather than just the once. Apparently I’m not able to send a video as their email won’t accept videos, and this was after I sent them a link with a video uploaded too as I wasn’t able to send it as an attachment. It’s a £30 fan. Just send me a replacement and a label to send back the faulty one if needed! Amazon returns are so much easier, replacements sent the next day with no quibble and hassle. I like to share my business around businesses rather than going to one place, but this experience has put me off. There is a lot of good about this company but this isn’t! I have since contacted the manufacturer of the fan and they are sending me a replacement no questions asked - how it should be. And their system accepts videos….

SUMMARY: A very shady company with minimal experience in customer service. They will allow you to pre-order stock knowing full and well there are more pre-orders than stock thus taking your money and leaving you with a delayed email I had heard about this issue from a friend (2 months) prior to making my order. I still pre-ordered a monitor from their website (like an idiot) a day before it was meant to come back into stock. When I saw the order that gon through and been AUTHENTICATED I figured there was no way for it to go wrong right. No, I was wrong and 2 days later I was given a delayed product email as it was out of stock. I do understand the current crisis and trade route issues but this isn't anything new from this company which made it sting even more the item was meant to be delivered between the 28 april-4th of May but the new stock doesn't come back until 1st July OVER A MONTH. This company is misleading, unethical and in shambles how they don't count pre-orders and compare with stock is above me if you know you're getting so much stock can't you limit the pre-orders to fit that stock amount? and/or implement a safety net to allow 5 fewer pre-orders than stock to prevent this issue? sounds very fishy to me how they would accept your money knowing full and well they can't facilitate your order. I am currently in the process of cancelling my order and looking for a refund which is the only reason they haven't been given a one-star and hopefully, they can do this right. Would not recommend this website to anyone I always loved giving the smaller companies a chance as they normally had the item I needed with good service but this has shown me not all of them deserve that chance. please stay away from this company if a delivery date is important to you and for the love of god don't pre-order.

Delivered a day late after dispatching issues that I had to chase up. Parcel was also delivered damaged and left without signature as the driver rang the doorbell and drove of before I could get to the door.

My concern was price matching against competitors. I recently bought a Motherboard , DDR4 and 8th Gen CPU which I then found the i7 8700k had a price cut by other popular vendors which I explained as advised to someone in the relevant team by filling out a form on scans website for the team to verify. I did receive a swift response however the response was that the vendor buys the chip at a higher cost than the likes of its direct competitors , Overclockers.co.uk ebuyer/ amazon vendors therefore was unable to do anything which was a very honest response. This lead me to the conclusion scan on this occasion could not counter the level/ability of service as other relevant brands that they fight for market share can do. I will add , albeit this small issue paying more for the CPU, I will be keeping it and other products rather than return them due to the time constraints involved vs the productivity I will have during this time of returning and purchasing elsewhere. This was my two cents review for my first time buying from scan. I would advise check other vendors vigorously for price cuts especially when there are generational upgrades as prices do drop for some but not for all. I will also add I take responsibility for not carrying out those checks firmly before my purchase however this was to review this particular part of my journey of making a what I consider a premium purchase for myself. I will add that being in the UK and having a limited number of key reliable vendors for PC components I would still recommend the use of scan and that I praise it’s ability to make the order>pack>delivery part of its service to be extremely streamlined and wonderfully informative and quick.

Ordered a Razer blade 15, and got told by email it was overdue from the 18th September, so I contacted support who said the email was correct. I then asked when more would be due in, and got the response that they did not know when more would arrive. I ordered this on the 25th September, and waited until today again to ask if they know when they would be due back in, due to only buying it for work and a little bit of personal use and got told again they didn't have a date. On the website it shows that they talk to their suppliers about deliveries but were unable to tell me when they are expecting more in ? even after taking the money for the product out of my bank, when this could of been done when the items arrived

I am leaving a poor review because this company allowed me to hit Buy in eBay, on a product it turns out they cannot supply. Then I had to call to arrange my refund which arrives 7 days later. Worst of all they quote 'Buyer cancelled the order' on eBay, as the untrue reason that the sale was halted. No one likes a liar!

Well I spent over 2k on a 3XS system within a month had to be returned to them since it kept crashing , found out they had overdone the OC fast forward a few months and low and behold component failure . so this time I had to remove it and return it to scan . Number 3 all case fans failed . so had to send it back said ti was repaired then failed in Quality control then finally passed . Received it back in a flimsy box where even though it was wrapped in bubble wrap it moved considerably in the box , yup failed die to someones incompetence in scan yet again . so back to them again for them to sort it out however if I knew what I do now I would not touch them with a barge pole.

I've used Scan lots of times and its normally good but I recently ordered high end gaming PC parts, totalling well over £2000 and the motherboard was used. I could tell straight away with the box and packaging then i found one of the cable bags was ripped open. Sorry but paying top money for high end stuff, i expect it brand new not someone else's used RMA. Also the PC case packaging looked suspicious and I found a spider inside the case. Used RMAs should not be sold as brand new items. If i wanted used I would have bought from ebay.

Utterly appalling communication! Spending thousands and they cant even check to see if Items are in-stock before the estimated delivery date. No communication also to state there would be a delay, After speaking to the customer services, they tried to fob me off with "I'll get someone to email you" but as there emails thus far had been not forth coming, they finally said it should be ready to be delivered 3 days late, when Im back at work. Previous orders have been not as bad, but this will definitely stop me shopping here in the future.
