Disappointing Experience – Avoidable Damage and Unprofessional Conduct I recently had a very disappointing experience with this company during a delivery to my site. While unloading equipment, the forklift driver drove over a utility trench—without any care or awareness—causing a visible bend in the duct that carries essential gas, water, and electricity services (photos were provided to the company). This is certainly not the level of professionalism I expected. The damage occurred when the driver took a sharp angle in a tight space, causing the tyre to sink. To make matters worse, the company—through Marc Hardy—responded by shifting all the blame onto me, falsely claiming that I "stood by and watched" as it happened. In reality, I was actively assisting to free the forklift, and I have CCTV footage to prove it. Even more concerning was the driver’s behaviour. He was openly hostile. After I was injured while helping him, I politely asked that he place the scaffolding boards inside the property. He refused and dumped them on the footpath instead. When I declined to sign the delivery due to the damage and his conduct, he stormed off and got into his truck. It was only after I spoke with Naimi that he returned—and even then, he angrily threw the boards. This entire situation was avoidable and made worse by Marc Hardy’s refusal to take any responsibility for the damage or the driver’s unacceptable conduct. I expected far better communication, accountability, and professionalism from a company operating in this sector. Based on this experience, I would not recommend their services.

As the customers knows we have had various email conversations re this delivery. The driver was told where to place the equipment on site, he asked if the ground was stable and was advised that it was fine. When the fork lift drove over the area of site in question it sank, due to a recently dug trench that had not been suitably compacted, or brought to his attention. If someone had advised of this the driver would never have driven across the site to where you wanted the equipment placing. This damage was not brought to our attention until a later date. With most delivery companies, including builders merchants, the quoted delivery is to kerbside only, he was instructed to enter the site area when it was clearly not suitable for a forklift, had he been wearing his Xray specs that day, all would have been avoided. You will see from the 3000 plus reviews we have, our drivers are second to none and in our opinion you have been very unfair in your comments/review.

bought 20 scaff boards on the 13th Oct. Delivery was very fast... 18 of the boards were fine, with only 2 boards slightly cupped/warped. It's now 10th Dec (58 days) and 19 of the 20 boards are so badly cupped, warped, twisted or split, we had to scrap them on Fri because Miller's HSO said we couldn't work onsite with them... ended up having to buy 20 overly horribly priced boards from wickes just to be allowed on site. Would never their boards again!

Martin, sorry to hear you are not happy with the scaffold boards we supplied. We note from our records that you purchased 10 nos in September and a further 10 nos in October. You mention that the boards have badly warped, approximately two months after purchase, we would guess that you have recently taken the boards from a cold damp outside enviroment into a warm dry building, this will have caused the boards to " dry out " too quickly and therefore warp. We could have tried to help you over the situation, however you have not contacted our office for help or advice. We understand that you may not be happy with your purchase, however we can not rectify anything if we are not informed. We as a company pride ourselves with the customer service and support that we offer, you will see from our Reviews that if there are any problems with an order, and or, quality of equipment supplied we take action to resolove any issues.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, although we are somewhat surprised that you feel that we didn't offer any help. We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service and going that extra mile to resolve any concerns our customers raise. Following your phone call concerning the overall length of the netting you purchased, we unpackaged a new roll of debris netting, the same size and from the same supplier and two members of staff unrolled the whole roll and measured to confirm that it does in fact cover an area of 50m x 2m. A member of our team contacted you to explain this in detail and pointed out that to cut the netting into two equal halves we would advise unrolling the whole roll and folding in half to cut. We understand that you and your friend do not have equal lengths of netting due to the way this has been cut, so as a gesture of goodwill we will offer 10% discount off the cost of one 50m x 2m roll of debris netting on a future purchase.

We have tried to contact you to find out what the problem was but you have not responded, we can only assume that you ordered Cuplok parts when you should have ordered Kwikstage parts. If you want to get in touch we will try to sort out any problems you have, Thank You
