“the lead training is very similar to the normal adult or child training, is it necessary to do both sets if you are a lead?”

Thank you for your feedback. The standard safeguarding courses are designed to train participants in recognition of signs of abuse and what to do in the event of a disclosure. The lead courses are designed for those individuals that have responsibility for safeguarding as designated leads to understand the escalation paths, external support, processes and necessary actions in the event of a safeguarding issue. The standard courses are essential tools in underpinning the lead course. We would be happy to discuss this with you if you feel that would help.

“I found it hard to access my course but once I had contact the team they where able to help. I liked the short videos im dyslexic so I struggled with big amounts of text so the video helped break that up which was good.”

“The website did its job and I completed the training! I was a little disappointed at the lack of guidance when incorrect answers were given on the practice tests, however. Guidance was only made available for correct answers, and it was not reliably possible to re-do the tests with correct answers to see further guidance as the answers were drawn from a randomised pool.”

Thanks for your comment James. This is something we are already changing. Some of our courses already do have feedback for the incorrect answers and the process will be completed for all courses by 2022.

“All the staff at Safe CIC are lovely and super helpful. The system of purchasing a DBS and it being sent out in the post seems very old fashioned and very time consuming. I have used an another company previously who do everything online and I could even track the process of the DBS as it goes through the system. Value for money is good but the extra time of getting a DBS started from the postal system lets it down slightly.”

SAFEcic is registered to process paper based applications only and we take pride in an exceptionally low error and return rate during the DBS process, achieving 97.9% accuracy in the last year.

“having done several safeguarding training courses over the years i found this to be very basic for the role it is aimed to support, key information surrounding allegations against team was explained poorly, the explanation of LADO and the analogy used was not correct and quite confusing if you had not heard of this before.”
