“This is a great opportunity to try books I wouldn’t normally pick up. The selections are always interesting, and if I’ve read both of choices I can get an alternative pick. They also turn up in lovely packaging, which makes it even more fun to receive a new book every month!”

Love that it's based around female authors and I also love that the books of choice have actually been read and recommended as it feels much more personal (there were a few book subscriptions I looked at which lacked this and I figured I could end up receiving books I just wouldn't enjoy). Selecting a preferred description and keeping the title a secret makes it super exciting and really encourages you to read things you wouldn't have chosen yourself. On a personal level, I made a promise to start spending more time with myself and this subscription really holds me to that as I want to make sure I finish my book in time for the next one so yeah, I'll definitely be with Rare Birds for a while!”

“Having always been a keen reader I was a bit anxious about choosing books just by a synopsis rather than the author! However, my gift subscription was so successful I subscribed myself. The books I've chosen are extremely varied in subject, superbly written and by authors I have never come across. So not only do I have a lot of new books, I also have some superb authors to read further. The presentation of the book through the post is also very inspiring and exciting to unwrap! Very impressed.”
