About QDOS Breakdown:

QDOS Breakdown is an emerging force in the motor breakdown and vehicle recovery market. We are also known as QDOS Rescue Services and are a trading style of QDOS Insurance Services, who has operated as an insurance intermediary since 2007. We started selling breakdown cover on the internet in February 2011 and have never looked back.

“My vehicle did breakdown and was recovered to a garage. The communication whilst the vehicle was in the garage could have been better and was definitely improved after I raised a call to complain. If the communication is improved the this service review would be upgraded to good or very good.”

“A good price, I was a bit unsure of them as not one of the major providers of breakdown cover. However seemed ok. I have had to make one call out, I came back from holiday and my car battery was dead, I had home start on my policy. I was told they would call me back. I got the call and they said "I'm afraid we won't have anyone to you for an hour and a half, will that be ok?" I said no it wouldn't, if I'd have known you couldn't do a 60min response as advertised I could have gone with one of the big three". The lady did say she would try and find another contractor and they did in the end, arrived just over the hour mark. I'm all for giving a new company a chance and they did deliver in the end. 3 Stars is for a "normal" service”

“Very easy to buy. Once I'd realised there was a 'heating up' period before you could make a claim you were the cheapest that would provide cover from when i needed it. That said i never broke down but having cover in place meant it wasn't a worry”

“There is no point in making a judgement until you have experienced a breakdown. Its easy to take out a breakdown policy online with any service provider.”

“What I found was that I received an e-mail from QDOS reminding me that my policy was due for review at £25 which was around £8 more than last year, I was not prepared to pay this amount so I went on the internet and went through QDOS for next year which the policy came to approx. £17 which is acceptable, could you explain this problem. I cannot give any recommendation on QDOS at present due to the fact I have not required their services but at present if the price remains competitive you will require my custom”
