Scandalous company, my car door and front wing were slightly damaged through no fault of my own so we took the vehicle to a body shop who said they went through Qdos and not to worry, what a joke. A woman called Annie Reddington from QDOS called back a few days later and said all they could do was write the car off and give us £4500 which was their estimate value of the vehicle and the damage was £4500 to fix, this was a lie. The vehicle had a few dints and the price of the vehicle, a 2014 Ford Kuga with 60,000 miles was £7,850 so they most likely wanted to make a few grand of us. I took the car to another repair shop and they quoted £800 so a difference of £3700 to fix, what a bunch of CHARLATANS, avoid, avoid, avoid.

12th September we had our parked car written off. It was early morning we were still in bed. It took til 19th December for the other insurer to send the payment over to Qdos. I was told that we would receive payment once funds had cleared their bank. It is now the 17th January and despite numerous phone calls and emails from us we still have not received payment. I’m not sure if it is legal for Qdos to hang on to our payment for this length of time. We had to return the hire car as we were out of the country for 24 days in October and were told that should we be paid our claim we must return the car immediately. We sent the hire car back just in case the payment arrived whilst we were away and didn’t want to fall foul of the agreement. We have bought a car and have lost interest on our money waiting for the from Qdos. I wonder if they will send us compensation for lost interest, especially as they only paid out for the hire car til October.

Do not trust qdos, my car is now in storage and is accumulating cost. They initially said my claim fits criteria for non fault but it was a lie to get me to sign off papers that would essentially earn them a nice profit weather they win a claim or not. After 2 days of being passed around to different companies they just keep on telling me to get my insurance to collect my car and deal with the claim. What an absolute scam!

complaint ref 14400: Shocking company to deal with i never got to speak to the right person when ask my handler who was called Jay who seems to have went on annual leave now ,i have been chasing my salvage money for my van after it was written off in August and i told Qdos after receiving engineers report that i did not want it back and agreed for them to dispose of it ,which it said they could do in their email but there was some confusion over payment costs between Qdos and Copart Auto Breakers and the recovery company over the pick-up and storage cost of £650 back in October so was never picked up having only found this out over last few weeks, now 6 months of chasing my payment every other week and being told they would call me back with information which they never did and only after making an official complaint they now tell me it’s my problem and i need to sort disposal and storage myself, at no time over the last 6 months of chasing my monies was i ever informed of this even when i called them nearly every week ,now the costs has risen to over £2770 and will go up having now to take it to the financial ombudsman wish i had gone with my own insurance company from the start

I’m absolutely appalled at the service received by QDOS, my partners been waiting for his insurance money from this company we have been told three different days as to when the money will be in his bank and today three different times as to when the money will be released, some of the people working on the call lines have been rude I am absolutely appalled !!

WARNING>>>>Awful Awful Awful company DO NOT USE!! I cannot believe 100% of reviewers recommend this company. It will be interesting to see if they leave this review here... I used QDOS after my Mercedes Tipper Truck was hit head on by a Third Party who accepted full blame for the accident. My vehicle has been off the road ever since I am now 6 weeks down the line and still have no solution. The claim has been passed from pillar to post around the team , my first case handler was taken off claim and then passed to someone else. The staff are rude and abrupt and do not call back when they say they will. After 4 weeks of waiting , the engineer finally visited the vehicle and it was written off by him, at a very low figure which would never be enough to replace it... They didnt take into account it was automatic vehicle with and aluminum body , two items that make it more valuable than a standard comparable vehicle . When I discussed comparable evidence that would bring value up the engineer then said he may not write vehicle off. All the time whilst this has been going on the vehicle has been sat in a compound racking up rental costs every day ... I have never been told by QDOS that it is my responsibility to get this vehicle moved,( that is not driveable ) but I also have to pay the costs of storage and then try and claim them back. In 6 weeks of discussions with QDOS I have asked and asked what I need to do ( their recorded calls will back this up) about the vehicle and only now that the POLICE have written to me saying the vehicle may be destroyed as they are classing it as abandoned in the compound that QDOS have said that it is my responsibility to recover the vehicle. I didnt plan to have a no fault accident and find myself in a position where I will end up with not enough money to replace it, have to pay for storage costs and claim them back whilst all the time trying to run my own business. QDOS mission statement is "We will surpass the requirements of customers who appreciate excellence ".... This is laughable and in no way have they ever surpassed any of my requirements. DO NOT USE.... unless you want to waste weeks of your life getting nowhere ...
