“A super holiday organised by Pod to link us to Wildlife Sense in Kefalonia who were fantastic. We had such a great family holiday and felt like we learnt a lot and really helped. A wonderful experience and the Wildlife Sense team were so well organised and enthusiastic, something as a family we will remember for ever.”

“My 16 year old daughter had an amazing time in Greece and hasn’t stopped talking about her experiences since she returned. From my initial contact with Alex at Pod Volunteer, the service received was exceptional and it was reassuring to know that he was actually on the trip too. My daughter, as well as gaining friends for life, also gained independence and confidence. She loved the food, the stunning scenery, the activities and learning opportunities - she certainly didn’t want to come home! Thanks to Alex and all the leaders for making this a trip of a lifetime for her.”

“This was one of the best experiences of my life. I met some amazing people who I have formed incredible and long lasting friendships with. The leaders gave us lots of free time and independence whilst also giving us the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the conservation work and contribute to the community. I have already recommended this program to lots of people I know and will continue to!!”

“Extremely well organised and informative. The staff shows contagious enthousiasm. Participating to nest monitoring, and witnessing hatchlings come out and making their way to the see, were among the highlights of this wonderful experience.”

“An exceptional service from first enquiry to completing the chosen expedition. Alex and his team provide a first class experience. Communication is excellent, paperwork is easy to complete, everything is taken care of from airport collections, accommodation, food, entertainment, education, knowledgeable guides to assist throughout the time you are volunteering. Regular updates were provided and great photos of the adventure that your child is on. Alex and his team made our daughter feel like one of the family. I would definitely recommend Pod Volunteer.”

“PodVolunteer trips are well organised, well balanced, and just incredible. They are informative and educational as well as allowing plenty of free time to explore and enjoy the beautiful locations. The staff and leaders are professional and friendly, making the experience relaxed and comfortable. Overall, PodVolunteer trips are so worth it, you learn so much and meet so many amazing people. “I had a wonderful time ! it was such a wholesome experience with meeting new people, learning and seeing so many turtles and living in a fun campsite in the beautiful kefalonia. We had the opportunity to snorkel, swim, learn, explore and more and I really enjoyed my time with Pod Volunteer. The leaders were so sweet and very helpful throughout the trip ! I learnt so much about turtles in kefalonia and will definetly will be doing another program next year.”

“My 11 year old son and I volunteered with Wildlife Sense, a turtle conservation project on the greek island of Kefalonia, through Pod Volunteer. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience! The support we were given from booking, the information provided before and throughout the trip, and the contact with the team while in Kefalonia was superb. We found the experience exactly what we hoped for, and appreciated being part of something bigger,while also enjoying contributing to the protection of these beautiful creatures. We would highly recommed the trip.”

“Amazing trip and such a great opportunity for young people. My son came back from a week in Greece and he said this was one of the best trip! He got on very well with his group although he didn’t know anyone before going. The leaders were very supportive and shared their enthusiasm about conservation projects and love for nature. There was a good mix of activities and free time. They also did some visits e.g.to the caves and other parts of the island. Overall everything was so well organised and as a parent I was well informed about what’s happening. Photos from their week updated on the website was a great addition as teenagers don’t really share many.”

“Pod volunteer have been so amazing, helpful and thorough when answering all my questions and gave me all the details and guidance so that my trip would run smoothly. As for the trip itself- just WOW!!!!!!! Everyone at Reserva Playa Tortuga was ever so friendly, kind and welcoming- special mention to Sara for always being so enthusiastic. One of my highlights of my stay has to be releasing the baby turtles onto the beach, it was honestly so beautiful to see! Also, I loved the night patrols along the beach looking for turtle nests as the beach was so magical at night. There were often atmospheric thunderstorms, bright stars and even bioluminescence whe we were lucky. I honestly couldn't recommend this enough, and 10 days certainly didn't feel like enough time. It was my first solo travel experience and I'll definitely be back again!!! Thank you so much to everyone who made this such a memorable time :)”
