Unfortunately this item, Hozelock watering system, was badly packaged. The box used was not big enough for the Hozelock box, so the packer put it in diagonally. Not very sensible! It was then squashed in transit by Hermes, and arrived in a very battered condition. I have photos if required. Fortunately, though the Hozelock box was squashed, as far as I can tell the contents are undamaged (I haven't used it yet). This was my first order from Phairs, and it has put me off ordering again.

Received items ok but asked to return as wrong size. All agreed and followed Phairs instructions on how to return. Items tracked and returned successfully but now Phairs not replying to emails acknowledging receipt or refund. Very disappointed.

Hello Mike Thank you for your feedback We have followed this up and can see the last email we responded to you was to acknowledge the return of your order which we accepted We had made you aware of the price of the return label which you had used against your order and in turn this meant the value of the pre paid label was greater than that of the product meaning that a nil refund was issued in this case I hope this explains this matter for you Kind regards Phairs

The item, a dog crate, has been assembled and looks fine. The delivery was less successful. I had to contact Phairs to find out when it was due. A message was received on my mobile with a bracket of dates: Between 17 and 19 January. We did not receive notification or tracking facility by email. Your email asking what we thought of Phairs arrived an hour or so before the delivery. When it arrived this morning the delivery man was uncertain where to deliver it. Although instructions had been given at the time of purchase. The cardboard box was in a poor tatty state. The box which contained the product was sealed with several large dangerous metal staples. Lifting those meant using a strong screw driver. My husband cut himself in the process.

I note that you requested delivery dates for your order on the 14th and you had been advised by our team of the estimated dates, your tracking number will also have been able to provide this information. I am afraid we are unable to facilitate delivery instructions - the special instructions box is for requesting invoices or gift wrapping The metal staples in the box in question are sealed by the manufacturer for the safety and security of the product due to its size and weight otherwise it would break through the box we would not advise opening staples with screwdrivers rather staple remover Kind regards Phairs

Part of the order arrived on Thursday 2nd and the rest today Monday 6th although I paid £6.99 for 2 day delivery.

Arrived on day 8 of a 2-4 day delivery. Disappointed with the customer service response. Either ensure the delivery is on time or say it's going to take longer from the start. Wouldn't use again.

Both boxes of Garrota were ripped an open when I received them packaging box was also ripped.

I purchased 3 metal buckets, 1 of which arrived damaged which wasn't surprising based on the flimsy packaging. Their customer service team contacted me and offered 10% gesture of goodwill, the buckets were 3.48 each so that's a whole 34p, their final offer was 50% so 1.78 and not what I felt was fair, 100% plus 1/3 of my postage returned. This would have been less than 5.00 and for me it's not about the money it's a matter of good customer service which unfortunately Phairs do not agree. Therefore people judge for yourself and expect any purchases to be sent in flimsy packaging so a good chance of experiencing exactly the same as me

Hello Mrs Partington Thank you for your review I can see our team followed up on your review and as a good will gesture offered you a discount on the slightly damaged bucket as it appeared you were happy to keep this and use it for the purpose you required it for we appreciate fully the damage to the one bucket but as this was so small and did not affect the use of the bucket and you had already went ahead and used it we offered an amount in line with the above. I had 1 bag of lawn compost delivered,but I ordered. 2, would you believe it was on another delivery van the same day,it was not delivered to me,so I had all the performance of explain and I had to keep contacting, to get another bag delivered,to me,I wasn’t very happy.

The corner of the plastic hopper box was damaged with bits of plastic broken off. The drop spreader had been dropped on its corner and there was insufficient protection around the cardboard box. I have glue repaired the hopper and did not want the hassle of returning it.

Extremely unhappy with the way my delivery and refund has been dealt with. I have a damaged item delivered, I've requested the refund on a long process and I'm still waiting to receive my refund.

Delivery was amazing it was very speedy. But the downfall was the product I ordered had passed its expiration date. I have been told I’m getting a refund for said goods but still awaiting the credit back to my account.
