“Very friendly, inclusive teaching which went through lots of detail and the end results tasted fantastic. Certainly felt more confident to cook Thai at home post course and will be trying to recreate the meal at home shortly.”

“A fantastic afternoon, with great teaching, enabling me to learn new skills successfully. The small group meant everyone to had a go, and with plenty of opportunities to ask questions it made the whole experience enjoyable to learn and cook. Sitting down together at the end of the session to enjoy the afternoons work, was the icing on the cake. Thank You.”

“What a thoroughly professional yet relaxed and friendly cooking experience. Jirapan has perfected exactly the right balance of informal teaching while managing to impart her love and knowledge of Thai cuisine, in a well manage and homely environment. The food we prepared was lovely and I cant wait to head into the shops to stock up the basic ingredients to prepare something for next weekend.”

“What a delightful way to spend an afternoon. Jirapan (ably assisted by Julia) created a lovely, relaxed atmosphere in which we (me, my partner and 4 other would-be Thai chefs) were guided through the preparation and cooking of 3 delicious Thai street food dishes and their accompaniments. Even better, we then got to sit down and eat together the fruits of our afternoon's labour. What lovely food (even though I say so myself!), delightful company and a wonderful teacher. Thank you Jirapan and to your family too for allowing us to spend time with you in your beautiful home.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed the lesson and will definitely be booking another one in the new year! The lesson was relaxed and very informative and I came away feeling a lot more confident in cooking a Thai meal. It is useful that you are also given alternative ideas for ingredients should you be unable to source a particular one. Whilst you can get recipes online - technique (for me anyway!) needs to be shown. For instance, I have been cooking my rice noodles in a pan of boiling water for years now - that is what it says on the back of the pack. No wonder mine are never like the ones you get in a Thai restaurant! We were taught that you should leave them to soak in cold water for a minimum of 2 hours or overnight if possible. I would definitely 100% recommend Paya Thai Cooking.”

“Fun experience, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Jirapan is a wonderful host and chef, teaching us great techniques on how to prepare and store various Thai foods. The meals we made were lovely and easy to make again ourselves. It was also great to have the option of purchasing some of the tools (graters, knives etc.) used to prepare the food. We would definitely recommend this cooking class to anyone interested in learning more about Thai cuisine. Ideal for all, wether experienced at cooking or not.”

“We had a family cooking experience for 12 on a Sunday afternoon which really spiced up our weekend: Tom Yum soup, pad thai, and massaman curry... we feasted well and even had enough left to take home and enjoy the next day. Jirapan and her team were superb hosts and Jirapan's enthusiasm, humour and ability to explain the nuances of ingredients was well appreciated by us all. We can highly recommend the experience.”

“What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon, and early evening! We were made very welcome by Jirapan and her team who looked after us with refreshments whilst guiding us through the preparations and cooking of Yom Tum soup, Pad Thai and Massaman curry. Everything was very well-organised and professional but it was also relaxed, educational and lots of fun. The twelve in our group truly made a family meal of it and got lots of ideas for Christmas presents! This review will provide a flavour, but you need to taste the experience.”
