“From our very first communication with Zach we knew this would go well. We started with a basic layout and adapted it to our location and requirements. A good plan sent in advance allowed our local contractors to prepare the base. Hannah called a couple of weeks ahead of the scheduled installation and let us know what to expect. Mark and Ian arrived on Monday and put in a lot of hard and well-coordinated work, the structure was recognisable by the end of the first day and pretty much complete by the end of the second. Their attention to detail was faultless and they departed this afternoon leaving us with a very attractive and strong garage and workshop which fits in perfectly. “I was asked, indeed nagged to sign every drawing and part of the contract. This certainly focused me to get it right. It was a pity then that Olson did not have the same attention to detail. The wrong kit was loaded on the truck resulting in late arrival on site. This was compounded by further things having to be sent from base the next day. This put extra pressure on the install team (who worked very hard), made worse on the third day by the Office telling them they had to go on to a job in Liverpool - which was two hours drive north - although the office thought it - 'on the way home'. Again this rushed the install team - which required my builders to finish off some things we had not noticed had not been finished after Team left the site. Being asked for full payment before the team left site - therefore leaves a sour taste in the mouth. To date I am content with the product - the first winter will tell.”

We are disappointed to read your review, especially as the pictures of your Carriage House sent to the office by our installers look super, a lovely building.
The correct building was indeed loaded onto our vehicle and yes, some additional material needed to be sent on a separate vehicle, this is not unusual and is not an indication that we left something behind.
We absolutely do require every piece of paperwork to be signed by our customer's and we are meticulous in our collection of these documents prior to starting the build. All our buildings are made to order in our workshop to each of our customers requirements, our workshop and install teams are reliant on the accuracy of this information.
The install teams logistics are planned in detail to be efficient, cost effective and to minimise our carbon footprint, and of course we are governed by the hours they can work and drive by the UK Tachograph laws.
In terms of payment, unlike most of our competitors we do not ask for payment in full prior to installation, but we do ask for payment on completion of the install as is clearly stated on all of our documentation. We ask our customers to check the building with the team leader to make sure they are happy before the team leave site, and pay the final invoice.
If there were items that you feel were left unfinished on your Carriage House that necessitated your builder to complete, had you contacted the office we would have returned to put them right.
Finally, our buildings are designed to withstand not just the first winter but many winters, if you have any concerns after the first winter please do reach out to us.

We thought it would be helpful if Olsen were more flexible and able to put us in touch with a reliable roofer, as we can’t be the only people that the council insist on a different pitch when granting pp.”

Thank you for your feedback and it is great to hear you are happy with your carriage house. We do install various roofing types but natural roof tiles require a specialist roofer and if we recommend someone we need to be 150% sure they will do a perfect job. For this reason, we always suggest customers requiring a slate or clay tiled roof seek recommendations from friends and family who have had roof work done and can see the quality for themselves.

“I purchased a double Olson timber garage plus installation. I have to say from start to finish this family run business were very professional through right from the first phone call with Zach. I found the process of deciding what to buy a easy process and assistance was given on planning regulations base and foundations etc
The garage and fixings are of a high quality throughout heavy duty locks and bolts are ideal for my needs
The fitting team I would like to give a special mention and thank you. They were smart professional and a very hardworking team explained everything they had all the right tools and were efficient from start to finish. these guys were excellent and should be thanked for this they did a 7 hour journey and started working straight away hardly any breaks finished ahead of time and the installation was of a very high standard
Olson did also get the build and delivery schedule pulled forward a week early which was ideal for me.
My only slight concern and was a bit awkward was the fitting team said they couldn’t leave job without the balance being paid I feel that as I am a honest customer and would have certainly paid on time without delay instead of having the guys waiting to confirm payment this I feel needs a better solution
Overall I would buy from Olson again I highly recommend this company and the whole team in both professionalism communication and quality of my garage
