“Stay away and avoid at any cost. They have terrible procedure seemingly setup to keep charging past vacating the units. I had a storage unit to hold furniture for few weeks while I moved house. When I was done, I called and informed them of my plan to leave the unit. They acknowledged my call and notice to vacate the unit, but then I discovered that they sent by email a form to fill out. I do not remember receiving the form incorrectly assumed the rental was over. It turns out they request the form, which I do not have, was a required notice and as they never received it back, they continued to charge my account for the unit while vacant and not used. 1400 pound later, I called and asked, when I was told that though they acknowledged my call informing them of vacating the unit, they kept under my name and continued to charge for it because they needed the stupid form filled. Despite repeated requests for them to reconsider, even a partial refund, they insisted and expressed in a poor manner that they would not even consider it. I had several experiences with other storage companies, none were even close to as bad as this one. Nonetheless though the form may or may not have been sent back, the fact remains that we have given you notice as evidenced by your email at the time confirming that we contacted you about vacating the unit. In any case now I have now filled the form and dated it with the date we originally vacated the unit and Kindley ask you consider refunding amounts charged after he date. Regards”

“GIVE IT A MISS.......We use to rent several units for over 2 years. Due to moving home we then rented additional units over the Christmas period. All was fine until one day I found myself not able to pay the rental on time. I spoke to Guy Hammond and explained this was a short-term issue and that I would be able to pay very shortly after the invoice. Guy Hammond the owner was extremely rude. Stating we were going to one of these people that run off without paying. I stated that was not the case and would make payment within a short time. (We owed £400) Guy Hammond then decided to open up our units and go through the boxes using a knife to cut them open. He told me it was his right as I had not paid on time. I and my wife were horrified. We paid the bill in full and paid extra in advance moving all our units (6) to another supplier with a better attitude.”

“Very disappointed viewed a unit advised would take it went to finalise to be told was already given to someone else. Now have nowhere to store property.”

“Keycoded gates were wide open, I drove in picked up my van and drove out without having to go through any sort of security. Considering the cost I expected this to be more secure. Anyone can go in.”

Hi Richard, thank you for your review even though it is a little disapointing. The issue you talk about was known to the site manager and the gate was broken with the enginerr on the way to the site to fix it. When the gates break we leave them open so that people can still gate access. In the event that the enginerr cant fix the gate, it is then locked and re opend the next morning. This gate was back up and running within a few hours of it being reported broken.
