very bad way of doing things, take out an online policy then have to call back the next day, to make sure its all correct , then another email with something to sign, then a whole load of proof of who i am to scan and email, none of the links work you email tome, will never use again

I gave all my details to the lady on the phone. I then paid with a debit card so you have my money. I have tried to fil in a validation on line form. I do not do up loads or down loads or whatever. And certainly not photographs or videos. All I wanted was my van insured . If you can't insure it please return my money. I have never made a claim. Never been refused insurance and been driving for over fifty years.

I was unable to download validation paperwork on my kindle so I had to phone your customer service department and ask for paperwork to be sent via post, I was told on four different phone calls by your not so helpful customer service staff that it would be sent out that day but the paperwork still has not arrived, meaning my insurance is still not validated and my mobile phone bill has risen.

Terrible phone support, changes made after t&Cs agreed and forced to pay £45 admin charge when cancelling in less than 24hrs Not to mention the full list of personal information they said they required, Quite simply useless and no confidence in this company

The whole experience has been ridiculous. You fill in all the forms and you think its done by returning all the relevant information. Two days later you ask for it all again and as requested done it all again. Then today you start phoning me for all the information well you have it all , in fact you have had it all twice. And I have just received another email aswell asking for it all . ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS

if i had know prior to handing my bank card details over when purchasing a van insurance for nova to then e mail me to complete the transaction for me the to upload the following : all drivers driving cards back and front / copy of utility bill / proof of no claims / log on to dvla website for a unique password which lasts 21 days ?? i admit this is not easy for myself as quite a dinosaur on computers so photocopied all info send registered post !! take not nova start telling your potential customers what you expect PRIOR to any insurance purchases go through had i known that i had further hurdles to jump i would have not taken this policy out !!! ah and last point when you do bring this to the agents attention a £45,.00 cancellation fee comes in to equation ? absolute joke not happy but will have to see a year out with them buyer be aware you have been warned 1 out of 10

The staff are friendly and informative. They knwo thier stuff but are good at getting through the chatter to the answers. And then they are really effficient just getting on with iei I prefer speaking to someone rather than a computer. The option to pay over 10 months is good for poorer but ambitious and conscientious folk such as myself. I wonder would I continue with you if I paid yearly and yes of course. Mainly because there is a human to discuss. I have not received my paperwork via my email yet for this years insurance but when you send as normal I cannot read it. But email me and I'll let you know. Now I would like to have a survey on the fact that I am your customer and what did you think of my answers? Jacqueline Aviolet

In brief: a poor customer care service, flippant attitude, unwillingness to negotiate a suitable date for payments to transfer. The fees went up the day after we booked online.

I would not ever use this company again. No one contacted me to verify my policy details or who I was. I received no policy details and when I contacted Nova and was told I hadn't given the correct information I was told I would be charged £45 to cancel a policy I didn't even receive policy documents for.

I am not very happy with your services because after I have made the insurance on my van, the next day I was contacted by one of the agents for some details and I have asked for a Goods in transit insurance. I was told that I will be contacted later for a quote. Next day I called your company with the same issue, a quote for a Goods in transit insurance, the same answer! After a week, during this time I have lost a few transports, I called again, I was told that I will be contacted later and obviously I had to call again to remind them about my quote, which finally they gave it to me! Basically if I wouldn`t have been forced by the jobs that I was receiving and my promises in front of the customers I wouldn`t have made my insurance with you! Cristian Dobrescu

Quite possibly the worst experience I have ever encountered in obtaining insurance cover. My previous van policy was not due to expire until 25/10/2015 however my daughter aged 24 had just passed her driving test so I wanted to add her to the policy on 25th September so contacted Nova for a quote. They did manage to secure a good premium with a reputable insurer and we agreed that we would waive the one years NCD with my existing insurer to allow us to get the new policy, through Nova up and running in advance of the existing policy expiring to be valid last Friday on 25th September. The Nova representative advised that I must cancel my existing insurance with immediate effect on 25th Sept which I did. When completing the follow up documentation online today, which was also the most tedious and difficult process, it transpired that insurance had not been placed through Nova last week as agreed and that we had been driving the vehicle without insurance for the last seven days. When I phoned to query this I was told that the policy was not due to start until the existing policy expired on 25th October. I advised that was not what had been agreed and that premium was paid for in full a week ago. The representative told me that If I wanted the policy to start prior to renewal day that I would have to cancel the Nova policy, incur cancellation charges and set up a new policy. At this point I asked to speak to a manager as I know that calls are recorded and what in fact we'd agreed last week could not be disputed. The representative phoned me back within ten minutes, without a word of apology to tell me that it was sorted and that cover would start today. I am appalled at the level of service but mostly that despite placing insurance and paying in full over a week ago that the van has been uninsured given that I had cancelled the original policy. Given my experience I could not recommend Nova to any friends or colleagues
