Unfortunately the meatbox that I ordered for my brother in law for Christmas has not yet arrived. It was supposed to arrive on the 23rd December. Very disappointed.

This joint was for my 67 th birthday meal. I stuffed with garlic and Rosemary and it was tough as old boots. Have already contacted Customer Services no reply.

This was the worst bacon I have ever tasted, lot of fat and the smell when cooking was dreadful. Also the mince was very bland. First time I have used meatbox and last.

Ordered a turkey 3 weeks before Christmas. Only to be told 2 days before that this turkey was no longer available and that they would give me an alternative which was the turkey without legs or wings!! That is NOT what I had asked for. Very disappointed with this company. My first and last time I will be using this company. Don't keep promises you are not able to keep. 3 weeks should be more than sufficient time to give the customer what they asked for.

Ordered the meat on November 21st for delivery 22nd December, despite ordering so early they failed to dispatch on time. After phoning their customer services they said it would be dispatched on 22nd for delivery 23rd. Received email on the night of the 22nd saying that there was a courier issue so the package was waiting to be dispatched now on the 23rd for delivery on 24th. Had no notification from the courier when my delivery slot would be, couldn’t speak to meatbox because they had already closed for Christmas. Phoned the courier, they went above and beyond to ensure my meat was delivered. When the meat arrived, the packing slip was printed on the 23rd meaning it wasn’t packed on the 22nd and delayed because of the courier, more likely they’d forgotten about my order and fobbed me off with excuses. Meatbox is a terrible company, the whole point of preordering was so I didn’t need to worry about the meat for Christmas, instead you took my money in November failed to deliver on the promised date and I had to chase the courier to find out if I was ever going to get my delivery. It’s a good thing I’m vegetarian and was only cooking for my family of meat eaters because I will never buy from you again.

Very disappointed. We ordered a "Dry Aged Rib of Beef - Himalayan Salt Aged - 2 RIB (Approx 2.4kg)" for Boxing Day - to be delivered on Dec 22nd together with some sausages & cured saucissons. The delivery was one day earlier than expected, fortunately not a problem. The lion's share of the order was the rib of beef. By Boxing Day the smell from the uncooked joint (which had been stored in a fridge) was unbearable & the exposed sides of flesh were slimy. Before throwing it away I weighed it. Just a touch over 2kg. So I wasted £46 on an underweight fetid piece of meat. Needless to say I won't be ordering again & would advise anyone else to think twice.”

As this was a birthday gift, totally defeated the object by arriving a day late. Had to buy anorher gift to replace. Would be very concerned if I had ordered fresh meat as company very quick to blame postal service!

Hi Lynne, Thanks for your comments - as mentioned in our email correspondence, your item was sent with a 24hr service and should have been delivered next day by Royal Mail. We send thousands of packs using the same service every week, while there can be the odd delay due to the more recent increase in postal demand, they are few and far between. For Fresh we use DPD which is not the service your cured box was sent with. Best Wishes, Meatbox

Apparently terrible smelt off when I cooked it through it away will never buy from meat box again
