“Rib of beef arrived on time for Christmas - meat had a lot of extra fat that needed trimming - cooked in 3 1/2 hours - meat was not as tender as expected for dryed age - will still try again.”

“The butchery was not very good. The prime rib was cut at an angle so that the ribs were triangular so that the carving had to be done away from the guests as the joint did not look too good. The meat was tasty however. It was just a pity about the visual quality, for the price I expected more. I did not take a photograph”

“Pork Chops were small, unsure of the reason even out of the package they didn’t match the weight requested. Lamb mince was as good as normal, brisket was too long for my slow cooker but that’s my issue, will have to order smaller weights as it was thin and long. What can I say about the Grandpa sausages 🤔 awesome as always”

“The meat was good but the prep left a bit to be desired. For French Trim rack of lamb the spine should be cut off.”

“The lamb joints were fantastic lamb burgers great as was the lamb kebabs pork joint really good beef was a bit tough and never received the mint jelly”

“Placed an order early March for a selection of biltong to be delivered on the 28th March. When I didn’t receive the order on the 28th I did panic. I called and emailed but didn’t get an immediate response. I did eventually get a response to a call I made and was assured my package was on its way and would be delivered on that day. (I day late) There was no tracking number on my update which I think needs to be there to give reassurance that the package had actually been sent. All in all service could be better but quality of biltong was great.”

“I love the bacon chops, had one with mash, colliflower an parsley sauce, then another with egg, chips an tomatoes, lovely tender an soft, no need to add salt. First barnsley chop l have cooked, was a bit worried,but turned out beautiful in the oven, melted in mouth. Did not like pork an beef sausages, tasted garlicky, even though l like garlic l was just looking for a nice meaty flavour for a dinner with mash or a good old sausage sandwich, thanks, delivery was on time and meat well packed, very impressed.”

“suggest to remove the images of actual skewer as it is not coming assembled as picture. It is just chicken basecally that is in the pack with wood stick . I thought it was a mistake and then I read the description and I realised but to be fair ,when buying I wouldn't have gone to read where image and line description says that is a skewer.”

“According to your picture of beef fillets shows no grizzly bits but the steak received shows some grizzly bits. Normally beef fillet steaks has no grizzly bits just the tenderised piece of meat. I haven't yet eaten the steak yet.”

“I ordered a beef brisket and asked that the fat be left on for low and slow bbq. It came with all the fat trimmed and the joint was split in half so effectively two thin joints.”

“I was hoping for bacon ribs to make soup. My mother used them in the 70s to make soup they were smaller she called them spare ribs. I roasted the second lot of ribs and they were lovely”

“Delivery excellent as usual with well packed and items chilled with cool packs. I haven’t cooked my gammon yet, but it looks good. However I’ve tried the streaky bacon and the rashers are uneven in thickness and a lot of water comes out when they are cooked. The taste is ok, but only ok so won’t be ordering them again.”

“Hi I bought the ribs looking forward to boiled bacon ribs. After boiling they were a horrible brown colour and disgusting. Probably my mistake thinking they would turnout a nice reddish colour and taste lovely.As I bought two sheets of ribs.The second sheet I cooked them in the oven with a lovely sort of barbecue whisky infused source.And they were absolutely gorgeous.”

“1st time trying the service - the meat was of a decent enough standard but the roast had been poorly rolled and tied. The random over scoring on the pork skin made it look like it had died in an accident with a combine harvester. But yes will try it again somebody may have just been having a bad day”
