We are really sorry you aren't finding them as comfortable as you hoped as we really pride ourselves on the comfort of our shoes.
The material will soften with wear, so we are confident that you will find them as comfortable as we do.
As for the cleaning, we can suggest you can perhaps try the below steps if you are finding it difficult to get those tougher stains out :)
1. Remove the insoles.
2. Wash the shoes with a light small brush e.g. an old tooth brush some room temp water with a little soap in it. Scrub the stains away gently sufficiently soaking until you can not see the stains anymore.
3. Do not leave in the sun or on a radiator to dry. Cover the shoes with tissue paper, this will absorb the stains as the shoes dry.

“These sneakers are very cute. I wanted to love them, but I’ve experienced some fit issues. The toe box is a bit snug. I ordered my usual 6.5 size. Also, this is strange but the tongue of the shoe is extremely long and quite stiff. It rubs the front of my ankle and is quite uncomfortable. I can’t wear them for more than an hour.”

We are delighted that you love the sneakers, but we are disappointed they didn't fit.
As our shoes are handmade in Portugal, they are made to European sizing. However, when translated into UK and USA sizes there are some slight adjustments to consider. Our online size guide (https://lociwear.com/pages/global-size-guide) gives recommendations to help you find the perfect fit. In your case for US women's half sizes, we advise for you to size down.
We can see from your order you actually sized up, so we think if you order a US 7, you will find the perfect fit

However, when translated into UK and USA sizes there are some slight adjustments to consider. We do have a size guide on our website, which does advise sizing down if you're a US half size.

The toe cup or something is small, they are just sometimes uncomfortable over the course of a day in a way that Nike is not. Because of the woven material, even dirty water (walking through London when it’s raining) they get splattered and dry covered in spots. Can’t seem to find a way of cleaning them.
