About Kakoa:

Kakoa the UK's biggest selection of vegan chocolate flavours.

Back in 2019 when Rich’s wife turned vegan he wanted to treat her with some chocolate but was left surprised with the lack of innovation and choice available.

He took matters into his own hands and made some vegan milk chocolates in his kitchen.

After a few months and with the help of his brother Michael KAKOA was born. The name KAKAO is German for cocoa (although with the O and A the wrong way round as we like to be different!), is a nod to the brothers German mother who was very supportive as the business grew.

Biodegradable packaging
When we started out, we made a promise that all our packaging would be 100% biodegradable. It still is and always will be.

UK’s biggest selection vegan chocolate flavours
Currently we have 19 flavours of vegan chocolate, the biggest in the UK. We believe plant based is the future of chocolate.

Award winning chocolate
We think our chocolate is epic but it’s nice when other people think the same. We are proud to have won our first Great Taste Award.

“Bough the chocolate's for a friend's birthday. Haven't given them to her yet, so can't comment on taste. The delivery was quick and on time, ordering was easy. Just waiting to see if my vegan friend likes them.”

“This tastes SOOOOooooo GOOD! The brownie is in the egg shape rather than just the supermarket standard egg with little chocolates on the side. Id buy another one if they weren't sold out. And its the first time in my life Ive had an Easter egg with zero plastic in the packaging so I feel super virtuous whilst scoffing it 😇”

“The Kakoa egg I bought for my wife for Easter actually tastes amazing! Due to the size and thickness of chocolate she loves it! As a non vegan, I shared some too and I must admit it’s probably the best vegan chocolate I’ve had! 100% can recommend”

“Having been Lactose Intolerant for almost 20 years I was very pleased to discover KAKOA. They are spectacularly nice chocolates. I would however suggest that they substitute one of the selections for something 'dodgy' (gooseberry pickle or something) so that the box has at least half a chance of lasting longer. As it is, even though I limit myself to two a day, they never linger beyond the minimum number of days. Wonderful chocolates.”

“Really fast service considering the strikes. I struggled to find a company that specialised in Vegan chocolates, then I found Kakoa. Brilliant presentation, and a happy work secret Santa recipient. Support small businesses!! They even printed a wonderful card with my written note that I used in the envelope, and was excellently wrapped :)”

“Not only is this chocolate absolutely fantastic, but the ethos of this company is extraordinary. The packaging is super modern and looks amazing. Additionally, the little extra gift was a very lovely surprise that went down a treat. Much appreciated Kakoa!!!”
