About Kakoa:

Kakoa the UK's biggest selection of vegan chocolate flavours.

Back in 2019 when Rich’s wife turned vegan he wanted to treat her with some chocolate but was left surprised with the lack of innovation and choice available.

He took matters into his own hands and made some vegan milk chocolates in his kitchen.

After a few months and with the help of his brother Michael KAKOA was born. The name KAKAO is German for cocoa (although with the O and A the wrong way round as we like to be different!), is a nod to the brothers German mother who was very supportive as the business grew.

Biodegradable packaging
When we started out, we made a promise that all our packaging would be 100% biodegradable. It still is and always will be.

UK’s biggest selection vegan chocolate flavours
Currently we have 19 flavours of vegan chocolate, the biggest in the UK. We believe plant based is the future of chocolate.

Award winning chocolate
We think our chocolate is epic but it’s nice when other people think the same. We are proud to have won our first Great Taste Award.

“The quality of chocolate is bad; it tastes like there is more sugar than cocoa and there is something like rice flour so the chocolate shell tastes like the cheap supermarket own brands of vegan chocolates. It’s a shame because the variety of flavours and the fillings are quite good. I would buy again if the chocolate ingredients changed to a better quality for the price.”

“Nicely packaged, delivered in timescale and in good condition. Most importantly the chocolate was lovely. I bought an Easter egg plus some small.packs of chocolate for my vegan partner and everything was thoroughly enjoyed! I would most definitely buy again”

“Delicious chocolates - can’t recommend enough! Tried three different flavours and will definitely be coming back for more! Brilliant customer service too - the postman delivered them somewhere unidentifiable so our parcel never turned up, and Kakoa were great in assisting :)”

“Delicious - well so my grandchildren tell me. I bought the easter egg chocolates in three different flavours. I was surprised at how small they were when they arrived, but that will teach me to read the details and not depend on the pictures.”

“I bought these as a gift for my daughter for Easter as she's dairy free and special occasions are always difficult because its hard to find decent vegan chocolate , it's either all dark , oily ,or tastes awful , well these were absolutely amazing, I bought 3 types, and she enjoyed them all. Particularly the jaffa cake, Turkish delight. And the cookie and cream chocolate, I tried a coffee chocolate and was really impressed at how good it tasted , I am looking forward to ordering more and this company being my go to for chocolate. Very impressed ,highly recommended.”
