About Kakoa:

Kakoa the UK's biggest selection of vegan chocolate flavours.

Back in 2019 when Rich’s wife turned vegan he wanted to treat her with some chocolate but was left surprised with the lack of innovation and choice available.

He took matters into his own hands and made some vegan milk chocolates in his kitchen.

After a few months and with the help of his brother Michael KAKOA was born. The name KAKAO is German for cocoa (although with the O and A the wrong way round as we like to be different!), is a nod to the brothers German mother who was very supportive as the business grew.

Biodegradable packaging
When we started out, we made a promise that all our packaging would be 100% biodegradable. It still is and always will be.

UK’s biggest selection vegan chocolate flavours
Currently we have 19 flavours of vegan chocolate, the biggest in the UK. We believe plant based is the future of chocolate.

Award winning chocolate
We think our chocolate is epic but it’s nice when other people think the same. We are proud to have won our first Great Taste Award.

“I bought this item last year for my daughter as a Xmas present! She is a vegetarian! She loves chocolate Turkish delight so I thought I would buy them again this year as it’s the best Turkish delight she’s ever tasted! It’s a shame you don’t make sugar free as I’m a diabetic but we can’t win them all!”

“Hi. I'm an 11 year vegan, and I'm a chocolate addict. 🤭 The constant struggle to find great chocolate and with a variety of flavours..... struggle over! These are AMAZEBALLS balls and bundles of yummy treats. Just some mknt chocolate too please and can I have them on a repeat prescription please ? 😆 🤤 🤎”

“Delicious chocolates, my second purchase, and will definitely buy again. My preference is for the white chocolate. They have the wonderful 'crack' of the chocolates I used to purchase from the old High Street brand, but importantly, vegan and plant based chocolate. So nice to get more than the usual dark offerings.”

“I was given a box of Kakoa as a present and ate them all within two days! They were so delicious which is something a lot of vegan chocolate lacks. “I bought 3 x boxes of mixed chocs and a jaffa orange pack. Arrived well packaged and on time. 3 very happy vegans and 1 happy non-vegan recipients. Chocs look great, good variety of flavours and taste amazing - love the seagrass planting and eco packaging. Will definitely use again and recommend.”

“I am so happy I have found Kakoa vegan chocolates. My grandson bought me some last Christmas and I had not heard of them before. When I tasted them - Wow they were absolutely gorgeous. I soon sent off for some and have been ordering ever since. If anybody says vegan chocolate is not any good well, they have never tasted Kakoa, I defy anyone to be able to tell the difference between ordinary chocolate and Kakoa vegan chocolate. Please never stop making them Kakoa I adore them.”
