About Kakoa:

Kakoa the UK's biggest selection of vegan chocolate flavours.

Back in 2019 when Rich’s wife turned vegan he wanted to treat her with some chocolate but was left surprised with the lack of innovation and choice available.

He took matters into his own hands and made some vegan milk chocolates in his kitchen.

After a few months and with the help of his brother Michael KAKOA was born. The name KAKAO is German for cocoa (although with the O and A the wrong way round as we like to be different!), is a nod to the brothers German mother who was very supportive as the business grew.

Biodegradable packaging
When we started out, we made a promise that all our packaging would be 100% biodegradable. It still is and always will be.

UK’s biggest selection vegan chocolate flavours
Currently we have 19 flavours of vegan chocolate, the biggest in the UK. We believe plant based is the future of chocolate.

Award winning chocolate
We think our chocolate is epic but it’s nice when other people think the same. We are proud to have won our first Great Taste Award.

“Absolutely amazing chocolates, maybe even the best vegan chocolates I've tried - I missed 'continental' style milk chocolates when I switched to plant-based, which is lacking in the vegan chocolate market. Kakoa has all my favourites (Viennese truffles!!) - and some unique flavours as well. Those I've tried so far have great flavours and a milky, smooth texture. They are a bit pricey but I don't want to say that makes them overpriced - you just have to treat yourself less frequently or wait for a sale! The quality is definitely there and I suspect that's tied in with the price. As well as the Viennese Truffles, I recommend the Lush Milk - they are also really good. Saving my pennies up now hoping to get myself another larger box for Christmas!”

“Absolutely incredible. We’ve been very restrained and it devoured the whole box yet but already talking about our next order! 😊 These are special. A lovely company making incredible chocolate. I can see the inspiration from the likes of other major chocolate companies, who do milk based boxes, but these beat those hands-down (even for someone who does eat dairy). Couldn’t rate them more highly.”

“I like the creativity behind the different creations. I haven't tried them, because I gifted them all. But they looked delicious and worth the price. That the creations are suitable for vegans is the main reason why I ordered.”

“As a long term vegan, I have tried many dairy-free chocolates with varying results. Kakoa chocolates are the best! I sent some to a friend, who refuses to eat vegan products as a matter of principle. He downed the whole box in no time at all and declared they were ‘pretty good’. Actually they are lovely. I’m on a diet at the moment, but as soon as I reach my target weight, I’m treating myself to a big box of these! Can’t wait!”

“Vegan or not vegan, you have to try this! Simply to die for, next order is about to be underway and I only had my first delivery last week. Finally some truly exquisite vegan chocolates. I promise you, you will not be disappointed! *I tried to take a photo of the chocolate but I wasn't quick enough😂*”
