“Jo does a fabulous job with Timmy, I wouldn’t let anyone else do his hair needs. Jo is such a natural caring person with animals so she’s ideal to look after Timmy’s as he’s got a few little health issues. A big thank you.”

“They were very attentive to our lurcher, Keyleth for her first time properly away from us and having an issue with our cage at home and injuring herself, the guys made sure to check on her and make her stay a welcome one. Very affordable and brilliant staff will be using them again.”

“We have a boisterous Border Collie and a Romanian rescue, they love to come and we get peace of mind . When they stay for a week they have a bath and are lovely and soft when they come home The staff are lovely and are great with our dogs who are a massive handful .My Aunt also brings hers , one of them has to have her paw dressed due to an old injury and this is no problem. Thank you guys from both households !”

“Don't do it or be careful. I used to think alot of this kennel but charging 2 days stay, 2 days food surcharge and 2 days of food, 2 days of 2 walks, 2 days x 2 meals for less than 24 hours care 13.00 until 09.30 next day is a rip off when received less than half of that care”

Hi Jon, I'm really sorry you are unhappy with your experience. We have always charged by the day. It is not a new policy. We emailed the booking details, including the price, to you in advance of your arrival. This is so you can check the booking is correct and know in advance what the price is for your stay. The same email also gives you our pick-up and drop-off times (which are between 9am and 4.30pm). If you would like to discuss this further, we are always available for your convenience.

“Very friendly and experienced staff. Price was in my view, based upon other groomers. Exceptionally good. And Sally, my 15 months old long coat German shepherd came out looking a treat. And not traumatised. Top job Jaycliffe”

“My two dogs were collected and delivered, essential as I don’t have transport, I live quite a distance away , and they don’t travel well in a cab, both came back very happy and healthy. Jayckiffe also provided the equally essential divider in the kennel at feeding time, I requested, and the bath was a nice little extra touch More than happy to book them in agaiin, hopefully places available end Sept.”

“We cannot praise and recommend Jaycliffe Kennels enough. The team have provided us exceptional service which we cannot fault. We have been in the unusual circumstance of needing long-term dog boarding as we relocated to Australia with work. Due to work requirements we had to move earlier than our dogs were able to fly and due to Australian animal import requirements our dogs could not fly out until 6 months after receiving their vaccines etc. We did not have any family or friends who could help look after our dogs during this 6 month period, however we have been so lucky to have found Jaycliffe Kennels. Our dogs are very much part of our family and it was extremely difficult to leave them, in fact we have never left them in a kennel for even a single day before. Jaycliffe understood our situation and provided 6 month boarding at a very reasonable price, but also high quality care. We received regular updates with photographs and videos so we could see how well the dogs were doing. They looked clean, healthy, and happy throughout their entire stay, and had regular walks and secure play outside. They also had the exact food we requested as this suited their diets. Jaycliffe also took the dogs to vet appointments we prearranged to ensure they had their final blood tests and treatments to be allowed to fly out to Australia. The team ensured the dogs met their appointments at no extra cost and they provided us updates following the appointments.”

“We booked our two Jack Russell Terriers, Pip and Huey into Jaycliffe but, unfortunately, Huey passed away prior to us going away. We were very unsure how Pip would settle without him but we had no need to be concerned. We messaged a number of times and were reassured that she was fine. Pip can be very fearful around strangers so the fact that she had allowed them to bath her prior to us collecting her showed us that she was relaxed in their care. We are in the process of organising another holiday and booking Pip into Jaycliffe again is first on my list of things to do.”

“We was very nervous about leaving our boys in kennels again as we had a bad experience with another kennels the previous year. However Jaycliffe were amazing, they sent us photos of our dogs and they looked truly happy! One of my dogs is very nervous and they spent time with him to bring him around! My dogs must have loved everyone there as they let them bath them and never let us haha. We trust Jaycliffe and we have already booked in again. My dogs came home very happy! They didn’t look worn out/tired or skinny like last time! They were happy champs and smelt lovely! Thank you for making our dogs happy while we was away Jaycliffe! Rollo and Ragnar clearly loved you! It’s great to go away and know your dogs are being looked after :) x”

“Jaycliffe makes us very happy. They provide a loving safe and caring service for beautiful giant Pyrenean mountain dog Ozzie. He loves coming to stay, which is most weekends. He also has longer stays. When we pick up he’s always beaming, so happy calm and well looked after. He always looks beautiful too on his longer stays he has been bathed and groomed. Coming out looking stunning. The service is superb. Regular emails are received keeping us in the loop so we know at all times that he’s been loved and cared for as well as he would be at home. I cant thank you enough for your help and Ozzie will continue to visit you most weekends and when we go on hols, without a shadow of doubt. Thank you for everything.”

“I have never left my nervous girl in kennels before but unfortunate circumstances left me no choice. I had phoned numerous kennels to find someone who had a large enough kennel and the confidence to take her. “You get 1 star so I can leave a review!! You deserve Zero!! You FAILED to supervise our dogs feeding when this instruction was given both verbal and written!! You FAILED to immediately let us or a vet know when one of our dogs was obviously extremely poorly and needing medical help!!! You FAILED to tell us or the vet that she hadn’t been able to stand up at all since the previous day until we asked you as the vet needed more information. You couldn’t have prevented her from getting ill but you could have prevented her from unnecessary suffering by getting her medical help much much quicker!!! You haven’t even had the decency to phone and ask how she is!! We couldn’t see her suffer and under the vets advice she was put to sleep. RIP our precious Daisy”

“I was really nervous leaving my baby in kennels as he had an awful experience previously elsewhere, Bowie stayed at Jaycliffe for 6 night and they kept me updated constantly. Bowie was so happy when we picked him up and you could see he had made a lovely bond with the young girl who brought him out to us after his bath! Thank you so so much for taking such good care of our boy, we will absolutely be back!”
