“Freya has 'holidayed' at Jaycliffe since she was just a puppy and she's 10 years old now. Each time we've taken her she goes off with a member of staff without a backward glance at us, which we think proves just how content she is at being left. Obviously she loves being there and we are confident she will be loved and looked after in our absence, which makes for a happier holiday for us too. Also she is groomed at least once a year and comes home looking beautiful. Thanks so much Sue and Martin”

“Our 2 dogs love going to stay at Jaycliffe Pet Centre, they always pull on the lead when we get out of the car walking to the gate as they know they will have fun and be well looked after. It's also a bonus that there is a grooming centre on site too for a doggy spa break! The staff are always so helpful, polite, friendly and above all else they love all animals.”

“Lizzie stayed at Jaycliffe for 2 weeks and loved the place and most importantly the staff. Just a week later we called in to thank them and Lizzie was beside herself with excitement, running up to all the staff and demanding a cuddle. You could see the strong bond between her and them. The facilities are really well thought out, the rates are great and the service is exceptional.”

It s the first time after having dogs for 30 years that I finally found a kennel that I was happy with :) Bella came back to me looking very fit, healthy and clean, her coat looked lovely AND the biggest factor of all... My dawg wanted to go back with the lady that brought her home! :) That really says it all for me : ) Bella will be getting booked in again thats for sure, theres no greater compliment for me than your dog wanting to go back haha! Maybe she doesn't love me after all...hmmmm..... ;) Jaycliffe, I think you spoiled her.... in a good way, thank you !”

“Alvin loves going to daycare at jaycliffe and as just returned from 10 nights there, he is absolutely shattered and as had a fab time there. Would highly recommend it.”

“Our cocker spaniel 'Millar' has boarded at the kennels as well as visiting the day nursery as and when required. He also visits regularly for his bath, clip and brush up. Always been completed satisfied with all the facilities, friendly staff and Millar always comes home a happy doggy. Would thoroughly recommend all their services.”

“Excellent place wouldn't leave my fur baby anywhere else, staff excellent they go the extra mile to make your pet happy but also to put your mind at ease. Bentley really enjoys it here. Recommended it to a friend now they wouldn't leave there dogs anywhere else. Highly recommend.”

“We booked our two Jack Russell Terriers, Pip and Huey into Jaycliffe but, unfortunately, Huey passed away prior to us going away. We were very unsure how Pip would settle without him but we had no need to be concerned. We messaged a number of times and were reassured that she was fine. Pip can be very fearful around strangers so the fact that she had allowed them to bath her prior to us collecting her showed us that she was relaxed in their care. We are in the process of organising another holiday and booking Pip into Jaycliffe again is first on my list of things to do.”

“Jaycliffe makes us very happy. They provide a loving safe and caring service for beautiful giant Pyrenean mountain dog Ozzie. He loves coming to stay, which is most weekends. He also has longer stays. When we pick up he’s always beaming, so happy calm and well looked after. He always looks beautiful too on his longer stays he has been bathed and groomed. Coming out looking stunning. The service is superb. Regular emails are received keeping us in the loop so we know at all times that he’s been loved and cared for as well as he would be at home. I cant thank you enough for your help and Ozzie will continue to visit you most weekends and when we go on hols, without a shadow of doubt. Thank you for everything.”

“I have used Jaycliffe for several years now to board my staffy Bonnie. I work away at times and Bonnie is usually there a couple of times a month, sometimes more, for a couple of days at a time. She is very happy, well looked after, to the point she is reluctant to come home! I would recommend Jaycliffe to anyone looking for a good, well run boarding kennels whose staff go above and beyond to make your pet comfortable and happy.”

“Absolutely appalled and heartbroken I actually cried when my husband brought our Maine coon cat home from having a groom at this place. We only wanted her nails cutting and a good groom to get any knots out. They asked him if they should take a bit off her belly to make her a little cooler but she has been shaved right from her groin area to her chest area right down to the skin. Her lovely Maine looks like it’s beeb hacked with a pair of blunt scissors. She looks a mess and I’m angry that they have shaved her needlessly as they may have done more harm than good. She looks a complete mess and I sm so upset. Will never use this place again and will definitely not recommend it to anyone. Obviously no idea about cat grooming or cat welfare.”

We are sorry you are unhappy with the grooming provided for Bella, As requested we combed her coat to remove dead hair (it was not cut), and trimmed her nails, we spoke to your husband about the matting on her stomach which would have caused discomfort to either comb out or leave. I suggested we clipped off her belly which would also help to keep her cool in the hot weather and he agreed to is doing this. The Jaycliffe Pets Team

“Jaycliffe Kennels came to my rescue when my pet sitter left mid way while i was on holiday. They came immediately around to my home one evening and picked up my 4 pets and looked after them until i came home. I can't thank them enough to know they were being cared for professionally”
