“Sarah has been most helpful with the bookings for Tan-y-Bryn and we have had several inquiries through Independent cottages. Paying the yearly subscription is better for us and our customers who can see the cost for the holiday without extras. I also like to have control of the booking for our cottage.”

“Our Property in Dorset has been advertised on Independent Cottages for approximately ten years. Just recently our Cottage was rented for six weeks off season by a couple visiting their daughter in Christchurch. One advantage of Independent Cottages are that the guests do NOT have to pay a 10% admin fee to Independent Cottages. Another advantage of Independent Cottages is that they allow guests to pay the owner direct. HomeAway, a major player is the market, charges guests 10% admin in addition to the rental and keep the rent that they collect until the guests have been at the property for a week. It is then paid over less a commission to reflect the credit card charges they incur. We therefore much prefer bookings through Independent Cottages, as do our guests if they discover this great website.”

“We have been cottage owners for over 10 years and become increasingly disenchanted with our large booking company. We started advertising with Independent Cottages last year alongside our old agent and have been hugely impressed by the ease of the set up and the communications from them. We have now maximised our income thanks to them and are using as many weeks as possible for customers booking through them. There is no commission fee and the flat rate charges make it a very attractive package. With the market becoming more monopolised by very large, commission-based operators, guests pay more than they need to and owners lose a valuable relationship with their customers and control over the process - including when they will get paid. Independent Cottages did a splendid job for us of providing good quality bookings last year and we fully expect this year to be the same, if not better.”

“Any communication is always friendly and courteous. No fuss bookings, as guests can contact me directly, and don't get charged. So no cancellation fees, or pushyness, as I had with Tripadvisor, before I stopped booking through them. Fairly easy to manage website, but up to me to keep it updated. Always quick responses. I am very happy to recommend!!!”
